Description

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, this individual will be responsible for the business’s transportation and logistics operations. This person will be the conduit between Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, Systems, Sales, Customers and Vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and schedule all shipping activities.
  2. Provide assistance in warehouse space utilization for OB Load Staging.
  3. Develop delivery schedules and drop shipment strategies.
  4. Maintain accurate records and files.
  5. Meet with Transportation Manager to identify and resolve problems.
  6. Prepare and present daily shipping plan and other correspondence as appropriate and necessary.
  7. Work cross-functionally with various departments to maximize daily OB Shipments.
  8. Effectively communicate and escalate business challenges to supervisor.
  9. Review and monitor inbound and outbound transportation requirements.
  10. Coordinate between planning, production, and shipping to ensure transportation schedule alignment.
  11. Participate and assist with physical inventories.
  12. Work on special projects as directed.
  13. Responsible for carrying out company policy and initiatives.

Requirements

  1. 1-3 years’ experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, manufacturing, or a combination.
  2. Experience in a warehouse, transportation, and manufacturing environments.
  3. Functional knowledge of global and domestic supply chain concepts.
  4. Experience with MS Excel.

Knowledge – Skills – Abilities

  1. Knowledge of manufacturing scheduling/planning.
  2. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  3. Experience working with ERP systems.
  4. Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines while performing with a high degree of accuracy.
  5. Interpersonal skills to collaborate at various technical levels, with individuals in other business functions, and the potential to grow in a career.
  6. Must possess strong planning, organization, time management, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication.

Physical Requirements

  1. Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing plant.
  2. Occasionally may be required to reach, squat, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  3. Occasional overtime will be necessary.

  • Negotiate pricing or changes to pricing due to changes in shipment details to ensure best market competitive outcomes.
  • Manage customer inquiries and requests related to road transport shipments.
  • Identify potential issues such as anticipated delays, breakdowns, route blockages, or weather-related challenges resulting in shipment delays by addressing it with hauliers.
  • Collaborate with relevant parties to find solutions and minimize impact on delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatched orders and delivery times, any incidents via various reports and TMS software.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi transportation regulations, QHSE / HSE safety standards, and company policies.
  • Manage and generate reports for shipment KPI and other details.
  • Translate shipment information to excel, powerpoint and various resources.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.


Educational Qualifications & Certifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a logistics Coordinator, Dispatcher, or similar role within road transport operations.
  • In-depth understanding of road transportation regulations, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong geographical and mapping skills, along with proficiency in using routing and GPS navigation software.

In this job of **Logistics Coordinator**,** you will be working on assisting the logistics operations complying with the company and government policies.**
**What** will you do?**
- The logistics coordinator will manage shipping material between vendors & suppliers. This includes coordinating between vendors, suppliers, shippers, forwarders and customs and any related entities (such as SASO, SABER, IECEE,) to secure the delivery of the shipments.
- Responsible for all import products registration, Managing the product certification renewals
- Communicate with supplier & advise the requirements
- Follow up with regulatory bodies and ensure timely registration
- Manage all activities in moving the shipments, Responsible to manage communications with all the suppliers for up-coming shipments
- Checking and approving shipping documents for all importing shipments
- Creating shipping documents for all exporting shipments
- Moving, tracking, and insuring the delivery of the shipments within the planned dates
- Follow-up with the suppliers for deliveries, non-conformities, etc.
- Follow-up on invoice scheduling, supplier timely payments, etc.
- Reporting the shipments status to all respective teams internally.
- Filing and archiving all the shipping documents, custom duties clearance invoices and the proofs of deliveries
- Managing the logistics partners relationships. Following up on their overdue invoices

**Which Talent do you bring**
- Experience in logistics field.
- Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
- Excellent management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
- Awareness of Six Sigma Rules (Added Advantage)
- Knowledge of LEAN principles (Added Advantage)
- Knowledge of Warehouse Operations
