About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Manager for one of our client companies based in Saudi Arabia and the UAE . The selected candidate will lead the execution of 380 kV Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects , ensuring timely, safe, and high-quality delivery.

This role requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise in electrical engineering and transmission lines , and excellent project management skills to handle end-to-end project execution.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Management

  • Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of 380 kV OHTL projects from planning to commissioning.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation .

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.

Technical Oversight

  • Review and validate engineering designs, technical specifications, and construction documentation .

  • Ensure compliance with national & international standards, safety protocols , and quality regulations.

Site & Resource Management

  • Supervise on-site construction activities in line with project schedules and safety guidelines.

  • Conduct site inspections, identify risks/issues, and implement corrective actions.

  • Manage subcontractors and allocate project resources (manpower, materials, equipment) efficiently.

  • Monitor expenditures and implement cost-control measures .

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities .

  • Prepare and deliver project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Facilitate clear communication and collaboration among all project participants.

Risk & Quality Management

  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies .

  • Enforce HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) protocols across all activities.

  • Oversee quality control, conduct regular audits, and ensure compliance with standards.

Commissioning & Handover

  • Manage testing, commissioning, and handover of the 380 kV OHTL system .

  • Ensure smooth transition to operations and maintenance teams.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall project execution and monitoring daily construction activities.

  • Provide technical inputs on construction methodologies .

  • Coordinate between different sites and synchronize activities .

  • Manage resource mobilization and task allocation based on team skillsets.

  • Prepare bills, estimate material quantities, and oversee procurement.

  • Liaise with clients/consultants, manage vendors & contractors.

  • Coordinate with Quality & HSE teams to implement safety and quality measures.

  • Maintain project documentation and ensure timely reporting .

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).

  • 13+ years of experience in transmission line projects, with proven track record in 380 kV OHTL execution .

  • Strong leadership and project management skills (PMP certification preferred).

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities .

  • Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia/UAE and travel frequently.
