About the Role
The Dental Assistant will support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, managing supplies, and ensuring a high standard of patient care and infection control.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dentists with clinical procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and treatment areas.
- Take and document patient dental and medical histories.
- Take, expose, and mount high-quality dental radiographs as needed.
- Maintain infection control standards, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments.
- Support patient care by offering pre- and post-operative instructions.
- Schedule appointments and maintain patient files accurately.
- Monitor and manage dental supplies inventory and ensure dental units are well maintained.
- Provide comfort and reassurance to patients before and during treatments.
- Participate in departmental quality and safety initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Dental Assistance Bachelor’s Degree, or Diploma from a recognized National Dental Assistant Program.
- Valid professional registration and license as a Dental Assistant recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years or more of practical experience in a dental clinical setting.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to high standards of hygiene, accuracy, and professionalism.
