About the Role

The Dental Assistant will support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, managing supplies, and ensuring a high standard of patient care and infection control.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with clinical procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and treatment areas.
• Take and document patient dental and medical histories.
• Take, expose, and mount high-quality dental radiographs as needed.
• Maintain infection control standards, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments.
• Support patient care by offering pre- and post-operative instructions.
• Schedule appointments and maintain patient files accurately.
• Monitor and manage dental supplies inventory and ensure dental units are well maintained.
• Provide comfort and reassurance to patients before and during treatments.
• Participate in departmental quality and safety initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Dental Assistance Bachelor’s Degree, or Diploma from a recognized National Dental Assistant Program.
• Valid professional registration and license as a Dental Assistant recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years or more of practical experience in a dental clinical setting.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to high standards of hygiene, accuracy, and professionalism.
