We are looking for an experienced and strategic Spa & Wellness Operations Manager to oversee the daily functioning and experience delivery across our Spa, Serenity Center, Body Mindfulness Center, and Aquatic Center. This role is central to maintaining the excellence and consistency of our guest offerings, while driving operational efficiency and financial performance.

About the Role:
You will play a pivotal part in ensuring operational readiness, team development, and high-impact guest experiences across multiple wellness venues. With a focus on excellence, mindfulness, and collaboration, your role will influence every touchpoint of the guest journey—from personalized scheduling to premium services and cross-functional coordination.

1. Operational Execution

Manage daily activities across all wellness venues ensuring readiness, safety, and exceptional guest experiences

Supervise the Spa Manager, Fitness & Recreation Manager, Serenity Center Manager, Experience Planning team, Head of Scheduling, and Operations Coordinators

Oversee shift transitions, staff allocation, and service readiness

Conduct walkthroughs to ensure alignment with Miraval brand standards and local regulations

2. Financial Oversight & Strategy

Monitor departmental budgets, control costs, and drive profitability

Track and forecast KPIs, business trends, and performance metrics

Guide upselling and cross-selling strategies within the wellness portfolio

Maximize space and service offerings to increase revenue

3. Guest Experience & Quality

Ensure consistency and excellence across the guest wellness journey

Review and act on feedback; lead guest recovery as needed

Coordinate with Front Office and Experience Planning for seamless handovers and communication

4. Team Development & Performance

Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations

Foster growth and succession planning through coaching and skills development

Promote a collaborative, wellness-driven work culture

5. Programming & Experience Design

Partner with the Integrative Well-being Manager to curate and evolve experiences

Oversee seasonal programming, guest journeys, and innovation in offerings

Monitor program effectiveness via guest feedback and engagement

6. Safety & Compliance

Ensure full adherence to health, hygiene, and safety regulations

Conduct facility inspections and coordinate with Engineering for maintenance

Train team members on safety procedures and emergency protocols

7. Systems & Administration

Oversee wellness-related procurement, inventory, and reporting

Utilize spa systems (e.g., Book4Time) for scheduling and productivity tracking

Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting in coordination with Finance

Collaborate with all departments to support unified guest experiences

Represent Wellness operations in resort initiatives and leadership meetings

Communicate operational updates and align with the broader resort team

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Wellness Leadership, or a related field

Minimum 5 years’ experience in luxury spa and wellness operations, including 3+ years in a leadership role

Strong expertise in spa and wellness programming, team development, and financial management

Proficiency with spa systems (e.g., Book4Time), Microsoft Office, and financial tools

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Must occasionally lift/push/carry items up to 20 kg

The Role

As an Assistant Spa Manager , you will support the overall operation and management of the spa and wellness facilities, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while maintaining operational excellence. You will play a key role in supervising daily spa activities, supporting the team, and upholding the brand standards of Red Sea Global Hospitality. Your role will involve training and mentoring spa staff, driving service excellence, and ensuring the spa operates smoothly and efficiently.

Leadership & Team Management

• Assist the Head of Spa and Recreation in managing the daily operations of the recreational activities and services offered to guests.
• Lead and supervise the Spa and Recreation team, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure high performance and a positive work environment.
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of the Spa and Recreation team members.
• Foster teamwork, collaboration, and communication among team members, ensuring they deliver exceptional guest service at all times.
• Provide regular performance reviews (probationary and annual) and assist in resolving any team challenges or issues on daily basis.

Guest Experience & Program Development

• Coordinate and oversee the design and execution of engaging Spa and Recreational programs and events that align with the resort’s guest experience objectives.
• Ensure that all Spa and Recreational programs and activities are well-structured, enjoyable, and meet the diverse needs of guests.
• Personalize guest experiences by providing recommendations and ensuring their Spa and Recreational needs are met.
• Stay updated on current trends and innovations in recreational services to continuously enhance guest offerings.
• Gather and analyze guest feedback to refine and improve the recreational program.

Operational Efficiency & Safety Management

• Monitor the operational aspects of Spa and Recreational areas, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are well-maintained, clean, and fully operational.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that the team adheres to health and safety regulations while delivering activities.
• Attending briefing and operational meetings in the absence of Head of Spa and Recreation.
• Prepare and maintain all necessary schedules, ensuring proper staffing levels during peak and off-peak hours.
• Regular monitoring on sign-in and sign-out activities and preparing the payroll documents on monthly basis.
• Manage the allocation of Spa and Recreational resources, ensuring they are distributed effectively and efficiently.
• Conduct monthly inventory and raise the purchase order before stock runs low.
• Assist in budget planning and cost control, ensuring that all activities are executed within the allocated budget while maintaining quality and guest satisfaction.

Collaboration with Other Departments

• Collaborate with other departments such as Engineering, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage and Front Office to ensure smooth operations and cross-departmental support for Spa and Recreational activities.
• Work with marketing and events teams to promote recreational offerings and drive guest participation.
• Liaise with the Spa and Wellness team to develop wellness-related activities and programs that complement the resort’s offerings.
• Coordinate with guest services to address special requests, VIP guest activities, or group bookings for recreational events.

Reporting & Administration

• Maintain accurate records of recreational activities, including attendance, guest feedback, and performance metrics.
• Provide the Head of Spa and Recreation with regular reports on activity performance, guest satisfaction, and any operational issues.
• Assist in the preparation of reports related to departmental performance, budget usage, and staffing levels.
• Ensure all relevant documentation, including health and safety certifications, is up-to-date and stored appropriately.
• Handle any administrative tasks, including scheduling, reporting, and tracking equipment inventory.

Key Qualifications

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a spa or wellness leadership role, preferably in a luxury resort or hospitality environment.
• Diploma or certification in Spa Management, Hospitality, or a related field; relevant wellness or beauty qualifications are a plus.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to train, mentor, and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
• In-depth knowledge of spa services, treatments, and wellness trends.
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient in spa software systems and MS Office applications.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
• Fluent in English; Arabic or other language skills are an advantage.

• Set up the treatment rooms as per standards.
• Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate service to guests at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene of the Spa and treatment rooms.
• Ensure treatment rooms always have enough supplies as per standards.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Spa Therapist in a luxury spa or hotel environment.
• Recognized qualifications in massage therapy and beauty treatments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-centric approach.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• Passion for wellness, self-care, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

• Comply with hotel rules and regulations and provisions contained in the employment handbook.
• Comply with company’s grooming standards to portray a professional image of self and the hotel.
• Comply with time and attendance policies set by the resort.
• Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development.
• Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to health, hygiene, and fire life safety.
• Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.
