Overview
The Inventory Manager will oversee the inventory operations of Government-owned mission stock and will direct employees engaged in conducting Distribution Standard system DSS or other Warehouse Management System inventories, researching inventory discrepancies and documenting gains and losses through causative research, performing denial research, item data maintenance and location surveys. The Inventory Manager will be responsible for records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produces.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring the inventory integrity of the Government-owned mission stock meets the acceptable performance levels outlined in the contract.
Plans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on workload projections on a weekly or monthly bases.
- Establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences IAW general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager and/or Alternate Site Manager.
- Redirects workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations.
- Conducts planning of current and future work schedules.
- Providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs.
- Recommendations as to the scheduling of project work.
- Ensures work is done properly and efficiently IAW the terms and condition of the contract.
- Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures.
- Responsible for data and inventory control.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Ensures area of responsibility is operating in agreement with all referenced DLA Distribution SOPs, addendums, FRAGOS, and Process Manuals as required for day to day operational processing and preparation for any audit event.
- The Inventory Manager manages a team of Inventory Technicians and Specialists.
- Responsible for compliance with the Audit Assertion Program reporting and documentation requirements, to include monthly assertion reporting that assigned areas of responsibility are ready for audit and or corrective action plans are documented and being corrected if an assertion cannot be made.
- Responsible for the Audit Assertion Program functional areas of COSIS and Physical Inventory Processes.
Education And/or Experience
- GED or equivalent, college degree a plus.
- Three (3) years' minimum experience in inventory using DSS or equivalent automated Warehouse Management System (WMS) within the past five (5) years.
- Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to lead a team in a warehouse setting.
- Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.
- Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment, and have a strong attention for detail.
- Experience with DSS and other Government-Furnished Data Systems.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ability to use and instruct others in the use of DSS Systems and Query Management Facility (QMF) to perform the requirements in the PWS.
- Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively and lead a team under a minimum of supervision from Program Manager.

What You'll Be Doing

+ Inventory Reconciliation: Manage inventory levels and stock reconciliations by ensuring system parameters are correctly set up.
+ Acts as a key business partner with commercial team to ensure a cost effective & agile supply chain is maintained, ex: freight mode, warehousing, container utilization, discontinuation initiatives, change of source, MOQ revision, .
+ Support in monthly LBE achievement, proactively highlights risks & provide gap mitigation recommendations.
+ Provide shipment plan to APO in M-1 to secure containers booking and align on risk/opportunities and Weekly Call alignment on progress.
+ Monitor Supply Chain Indicators and metrics to measure TPMs performance (On-time In-full, Supply Adherence, Capacity Constraints) in accordance with SOPs.
+ Work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels to achieve organizational goals
+ Accountable on compliance with applicable audit and divisional policies and procedures.
**Required Qualifications**
-Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Statistics, Pharmacy or Business Administration.
-10-12 years' experience in the Supply chain field with Minimum 3 years of managerial experience
-Strong experience in Supply Planning & logistics
-Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
-Excellent communication & leadership skills
-Proactive internal and external stakeholder communication, coordination and collaboration
-Ability to work efficiently in complex and deadline-driven operations, not losing focus on accuracy and quality
-Analytical and Problem-solving skills.
+ Highly Experienced in presenting to senior management.
+ Advanced Excel and database skill is a must
+ SAP knowledge & experience is a plus

Purpose:
Create and constantly improve excellence in range administration and forecasting to achieve agreed service levels. Synchronise supply with commercial needs for the best possible customer perceived availability at the lowest possible total cost. Together with the commercial team ensure a smooth range management process and high-quality forecasts for input to supply planning.
Accountabilities:
- Administer Range:
Manage the product range for each selling unit according to the country range strategy and Sales Leaders' decisions. - Align Offered Range:
Ensure the offered range in each selling unit matches the agreed range and Initiate corrective actions in collaboration with Sales Leaders as necessary. - Support Forecast Alignment:
Assist Sales Leaders by highlighting discrepancies between central forecasts and country/selling unit forecasts. - Establish New Selling Units:
Aid in the establishment of new selling units by supporting range selection and administration. - Provide Range Change Planning Information:
Supply Sales Leaders and selling units with information to facilitate a smooth range change planning process. - Support Range Change Implementation:
Assist Sales Leaders in creating initial forecasts for new items and allocating discontinued items to selling units. - Monitor Sales Goals:
Track and follow up on sales goals for key articles as identified in the business agreement between IKEA of Sweden Home Furnishing Business (HFB) and Retail Sales. - Allocate Discontinued Items:
Manage unexpected deviations of discontinued items, considering all commercial implications, and oversee the range change process. - Support Range Selection:
Provide a range frame based on selling units' capacity, incorporating input from the Retail Logistics Capacity and Flow Planner, in line with global range dimensioning rules. - Embrace IKEA Values:
