**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Principal Planner (Transportation)** to join our team! The position requires the provision of expert transport planning solutions, a thorough knowledge of transport related policy, regulation standards and best practice. Undertake all transport modeling requirements necessary for the Urban Planning Department to undertake the above. This position retains performance responsibility of SAPL personnel working in support of the department activities, ensuring that work of support staff conforms with department needs and standards.
Position reports to the RC Section Manager and the Urban Planning Manager.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ You must have a good all-round knowledge of the transport planning in the Middle East, preferable the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
+ It is expected that you will have experience in the preparation of transport plans, transport modelling, Traffic Impact study, feasibility studies, road safety audit studies, transport scheme reports, and transport/traffic appraisal with knowledge of relevant transport/traffic policy and standards.
+ You should be able to organize and manage the collection of raw transport and traffic data. Analyze and interpret data findings to provide appropriate transport and traffic solutions.
+ You will be required to have a strong knowledge of the principles of strategic transport planning software (TransCAD) modeling, and prior experience of using a range of transport specific and associated software.
+ You will support a team of consultants working on a variety of urban planning and industrial planning tasks.
+ Liaise with the Ministry of Transport and other government agencies as required.
+ Coordinate with other Departments and Divisions in the implementation of the current and future Master Plan deliverables and initiatives related to Transport (all modes).
+ Formulate detailed transport planning policy updates and other amendments as part of the required amendments to the Yanbu 2030 Master Plan.
+ Provide expert transport/traffic advice on development assessment and private sector investment proposals.
+ Assist in establishing, implementing, monitoring, and enforcing departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field from a recognised Western University.
+ Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the field of transport/traffic planning. Middle Eastern experience an advantage.
+ Post Graduate or Master's Degree in Transport Planning, preferred.
+ Well-rounded experience in transport/traffic issues associated with Industrial and City planning.
+ Specific experience with transport/traffic assessment processes and compliance regulation.
+ Ideally professional experience with the Private Sector but have experience of dealing with Local Authority and Public Sector clients.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Solid experience of industry standard transport planning software packages. TransCAD, Synchro / Sim Traffic required. Experience with PTV Vissim an advantage.
+ Proficient time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
+ Advanced knowledge in English - Spoken and Written.

Job Purpose:

The Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for managing the end-to-end planning process, ensuring the right balance between demand and supply. The role involves demand forecasting, procurement management, inventory optimization, and effective utilization of SAP systems to support business goals and ensure product availability across ABYAT stores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market insights, and business intelligence to support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning).
  • Perform RCCP (Rough-Cut Capacity Planning) and align demand plans with supply capabilities to ensure feasibility.
  • Oversee procurement planning, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely availability of products.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, optimizing stock to balance availability with cost efficiency while minimizing obsolescence.
  • Drive the MRP (Material Requirements Planning) process within SAP to ensure alignment between demand, inventory, and procurement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align on forecasts and supply chain priorities.
  • Generate and analyze supply chain performance reports, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, timelines, and quality standards across the planning and procurement cycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in demand planning, procurement, and inventory management within a retail or distribution environment.
  • SAP expertise is mandatory (planning, procurement, and inventory modules).
  • Strong knowledge of S&OP, RCCP, and MRP processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools is an advantage

Job Description & Summary: Our Deals Strategy & Operations (DSO) team offers strategic advice to a broad range of stakeholders – regional and international corporates, leading private equity houses, family offices, major banks, funds, government entities, and companies undertaking mergers and acquisitions or investment opportunities. We deliver deep strategic, commercial and operational insights to help clients think through investment/divestment decisions about businesses. We advise our clients on critical operational and transformational challenges, and evaluate business plans and company strategies against market performance and competitor strength, to deliver a rigorous appraisal of a business’ commercial and operational outlook. Our main focus is to deliver top strategy-led solutions to our clients.

Role Responsibilities

As a Deals Strategy & Operations Senior Associate dedicated to the Transport & Logistics sectors, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Solving clients’ problems by structuring analysis, applying analytical frameworks, and conceptualizing strategy development
  • Conducting market entry strategies and commercial due diligence
  • Taking ownership of components of engagements and collaborating with team members to deliver thorough and well-structured reports
  • Researching, aggregating and analyzing data; synthesizing large quantities of information; extracting meaningful insights to provide recommendations to our clients
  • Supporting internal business development activities
  • Actively work on engagement supporting Managers and Senior Managers
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in management consulting with a focus on advising governments and major stakeholders in the transportation, logistics, industrial, aviation, manufacturing or similar sector
  • Relevant experience within the M&A space, preferably from a professional services background
  • Has done research for company on potential acquisitions
  • Participated in conducting business plans
  • Completed market research for large size organizations
  • Comprehensive understanding of feasibility studies
  • Eager to participate in business development opportunities and initiatives
  • Passionate about delivery of work and has a strong desire to succeed by learning from colleagues and creating collaborative relationships at all levels
  • Motivated to build excellent working relationships and meet deadlines successfully in a fast paced & dynamic environment
  • Confident communicator and can deliver messages with impact to a wide variety of audiences
  • Keen to leverage technology enabled and digital tools to achieve efficient delivery for our clients
  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to understand key business drivers
  • Ability to take initiative to manage numerous projects simultaneously under time constraints
  • Your flexibility to travel 40%-60% of the time. This means we may require you to work away from your base office location on a regular basis and frequent overnight stays may be required. Where possible, we will take your preferences into account and strike a balance between meeting your career development/personal needs and those of the business and our clients.
