Job Description
As a Warehouse Assistant you will be responsible to control the flow of stock through the warehouse, monitoring goods in and out, safely and efficiently moving and handling items and keeping stock records. You are also expected to support to the logistics teams in terms of shipment and documentation preparation.
As a Warehouse Assistant you are responsible for:
- Responsible for the receipt, inspection, handling, stocking, identification and issue of materials
- Maintenance of all documents and records of all dealings pertaining to storage
- Quarantining of defective/short materials away from the stock
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, be familiar and thorough with the full range of Gates products
- Assisting in Stock taking / registering of inventory at appropriate intervals.
- Ensure that proper identification and traceability methods / means for the inventory are established.
- Follow necessary safety regulations, applicable work instructions, operating procedures, method statements, etc.
- Report all incidents, accidents, near-misses, unsafe conditions and acts to the Supervisors/Safety Officer.
- Provide on-the-job training to new & existing department staff members.
- Ensure warehouse is kept in a clean and safe condition, and all products are kept in their appropriate place
- Follow necessary safety regulations, applicable work instructions, operating procedures, method statement etc. as required, in carrying out the jobs. Use proper PPE's, spare, tools, equipment's and accessories to the optimum utility
- Ensure compliance with all applicable standards, Company quality (ISO) procedures and provide advice to the QHSE department of any non-conformance issues
- Ensure processes and practices are benchmarked with international standards/regulations/codes
- In addition to your normal working hours you might be required to work Overtime as and when required by the business / workload.
- At times you may have to cover the work load of other Warehouse Assistants when he/she is on leave/Vacation along with your normal duties.
- To follow and practice DNV/API audit procedures and processes as set out by the company
- Comply with all occupational health, safety and environmental procedures of both the company and of client while working
- In addition, shall also support the activities of the other units whenever requested
Required Experience:
- Functions as an team contributor with no supervisory responsibilities
- Preferred to have a Vocational Certificate or High School Certificate
- Should have more than three years of experience as a Warehouse Assistant
- Commitment to continuous improvement in Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment (QHSE).
**Required Skills**:
- Ability to plan, schedule and prioritize the activities.
- Ability to resolve simple problems.
- Able to communicate in English and to operate a computer system to generate system based transactions and documentation
- Good numerical, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Process incoming and outgoing communication and correspondence to ensure proper dissemination of information.
Coordinate with 707 RAMP Program leadership to gain approval. Collect, organize, and provide data according to established processes to maintain status of customer and supplier commitments and compliance.
Participate in the receiving and dispatching process along with the 3PL supplier
Verify the integrity of the inventory and supervise the supplier personnel.
Monitor the logistic systems performance. Collaborate with company organizations to identify and resolve system issues.
Conduct research and provide logistical assistance to support operational objectives.
Assist in researching, identifying, and resolving Repair pipeline inventory discrepancies.
Perform any other tasks requested by management.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Diploma in Supply Chain/ or Mechanic
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in Supply Chain management
Fluency in Arabic and English
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
2+ years of experience communicating and interacting with a customer or supplier
Previous experience supporting military Customers is beneficial
This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll and will commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Saudi law.
