Job Description

As a Draftsman , you will be responsible for preparing technical drawings, maps, and layouts for construction and infrastructure projects, with a focus on accuracy and compliance with engineering standards. This role requires hands-on experience with engineering drawing tools, strong computer skills, and familiarity with GIS systems to support design, planning, and documentation activities.

Key Accountabilities

The position involves:

  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and as-built documentation for civil and infrastructure projects.
  • Utilize CAD software and GIS platforms to produce and modify technical drawings based on project specifications.
  • Interpret design inputs from engineers and ensure accurate translation into technical drawings.
  • Maintain drawing records and ensure proper version control and document management.
  • Coordinate with engineering, inspection, and construction teams to update drawings as needed.
  • Assist in preparing maps, plans, and reports using GIS data and mapping tools.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, local codes, and client requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We are Looking for:

  • Technical qualification in Engineering Drawing, GIS, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in drafting and technical drawing in construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting/design software.
  • Experience working with GIS tools and digital mapping systems.
  • Strong understanding of engineering standards, symbols, and drawing conventions.
  • Good computer skills, especially in documentation, digital file management, and CAD/GIS applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
