Job Title: Renewable Energy Expert
About the Role: Copper Quail Global is seeking ahighly skilled Renewable Energy Expert to join our client's team in SaudiArabia. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensiveexperience in renewable energy project planning and execution. The successfulcandidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments andpreparing detailed reports to support the development of solar and wind energyprojects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct desktopconstraints mapping to evaluate potential project sites.
- Perform detailed solarand wind resource assessments.
- Review and selectappropriate technology and power system parameters to maximize efficiency.
- Analyze interconnectionoptions to determine optimal locations for park substations.
- Prepare preliminaryCAPEX and OPEX cost estimates with an accuracy of +/-10%.
- Conduct Energy YieldAssessments (P50, P75, P90) to predict project performance.
- Optimize the electricalpower system based on thorough CAPEX and OPEX analysis.
- Develop and maintainsite plans, drawings related to electric equipment, and original AutoCADplans.
- Prepare a Basis SummaryReport detailing climatic and environmental conditions, infrastructure,technology selection, electrical design, and potential wind turbinedimensions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years ofexperience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar and windenergy projects.
- Proven track record ofpreparing detailed technical assessments and reports.
- Strong ability to workwith AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
- Excellent communicationand presentation skills, with proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabicis a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree inEngineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees(PhD, M.Eng., MBA) are highly desirable.

1. JOB DETAILS:Position Title: Specialist, Planning Power Generation
Reports to: Superintendent, Power Planning
Department: Facilities Planning

Prepared / Revised on:
Study, review and develop conceptual plans and scope of works for providing power generation to meet customer demands based on optimal factors of power system capacity and utilization factors.
3. JOB DIMENSIONS:Number of Staff Supervised: None
4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Studies and Reviews: Conduct studies and review proposals relating to upgradation of Power Generation facilities and building new installations. Coordinate with external consultants engaged for system studies and analysis.
- Master Plan for Power Generation: Coordinate with Demand Forecast Department to develop an annual plan for inclusion in the Master Plan (5 & 15 years) and update it regularly.
- Data Base Management & Asset Utilization: Develop and maintain a database of existing power generation facilities and analyze system loading to determine peak and low values.
- Utility Request Management: Coordinate with Demand forecast department to plan for meeting the demand of major customers and submit designs for approval.
- Business Unit Capex Proposal Evaluation: Conduct a techno-commercial evaluation of business unit Capex proposals and advise Management.
- MIS Reporting: Develop and keep updated Management Information System giving key Technical Data helpful for Business decisions.
- Policies & Procedures: Recommend improvements to departmental procedures and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures.
The position reports to Superintendent, Power Planning and is responsible for studying, reviewing, and developing conceptual plans for providing electric power to customers.
6. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:Internal: Coordination within own department and other departments.
External: Coordination with RC and equipment manufacturers.
No financial authority for the position. Work according to established procedures and make decisions relating to service provision.
8. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:Minimum Qualifications: University degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum Experience: 7 years in engineering or facilities management in a heavy industrial or utilities environment.
- Skilled in engineering planning software.
- Detailed knowledge of facilities management techniques.
- Sound understanding of power generation operational processes.
- Ability to develop a capital plan based on current assets.
- English Language Level 2
- Health & Safety Systems Level 1
- Project Management Level 2
