Qualification:
  • NDT qualification as per ISO 9712:2012 Level 2 (PCN, COFREND, CSWIP).
  • Certified operator Level 2 (Level 3 appreciated) for UT (all joint configurations).
  • Experience or certification in MUT / TOFD for pipeline installation.
  • Experience with AUT, especially with carbon steel line pipes, is mandatory.
  • Capable of performing MUT techniques with multi-zonal discrimination UT.
  • Approximately 10 years of professional experience related to pipeline AUT principles and zonal discrimination inspection.

Key job responsibilities

A day in the life
As a Loss Prevention Manager, you will join a team of Security and Loss Prevention professionals providing security as a service to business customers across multiple business units within a dedicated geographical area. You perform regular physical security audits and investigate policy violations, security-related incidents, and loss events. During your investigations, you collect information by monitoring systems and tools, analysing data reports, and conducting interviews. Your findings contribute to identifying vulnerabilities in our processes and you identify and drive mitigating measures. You play a key role in maintaining the physical integrity of our sites by auditing and monitoring the health status of our systems and, jointly with subject matter experts and external suppliers, maintain their functionality. Furthermore, you identify and act upon initiatives improving our physical security infrastructure and contribute directly to the budgetary planning for our external suppliers. You interact on a daily basis with our external security service providers to ensure delivery of high-quality security services and a smooth customer experience. Finally, you deliver loss prevention-related education and awareness programs to other teams across all management levels and manage the implementation of our Security and Loss Prevention plan.

Sitting within the Global Security Operations organisation, Security and Loss Prevention supports the accomplishment of Amazon´s business targets and the strengthening of our brand by effectively protecting against relevant threats and by managing security and loss prevention risks that could:
• Put our associates and customers under jeopardy
• Disrupt the continuity of our business operations
• Inflict damage to our assets
• Have adverse impact on our brand reputation
Working in partnership with our stakeholders, we secure the Amazon supply chain end-to-end and promote security during business conversations. We do this by preventing security and loss prevention-related risks and vulnerabilities as early as possible, intervening in unfolding incidents to minimize any negative impact as well as thoroughly investigating security-related incidents to identify and remove root causes, preventing reoccurrence.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• A degree or degree equivalent
• Relevant security- or risk-related experience (e.g., security services, asset protection, loss prevention, risk management, inventory management, investigations, supply chain, auditing, compliance, or similar)
• Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
• Advanced proficiency in written and verbal Arabic and English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A day in the life

  • Provides management information and insights on all dimensions of work area performance to facilitate discussion and decision making, both on a periodic basis and for ad-hoc management requests.
  • Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
  • Works under the guidance of the Manager – New Equipment to prepare the contracts, negotiate and finalize agreements with clients, based on established guidelines.
  • Prepares pre-qualification and technical documents to support the new equipment proposals within Otis - Entity.
  • Prepares estimates and issues quotations based on project scope and Otis products pitched to the client.
  • Liaises with clients to negotiate new equipment contracts, ensuring all potential client risks are addresses under the renewal terms.
  • Executes sales strategies to increase the market share of Otis – Entity across all product lines within the assigned markets.
  • Develops a strong relationship with developers / contractors within Otis – Entity by regularly engaging with key contacts and positioning Otis favorably for all new equipment projects.
  • Coordinates with the Aftermarket and Service Department to ensure that the terms and conditions of all new equipment agreements are implemented.
  • Conducts inspections on all new equipment products delivered and installed at client locations, as per contractual requirements to ascertain the completion of the scope of work.
  • Builds competitive awareness of the products being offered in the market to help position Otis – Entity as the preferred provider on all new equipment proposals.
  • Assists the Finance Department with the timely collection of payments based on contracting agreements.
  • Maintains and updates the new equipment contracts database in the MIS system and provides periodic reports from this and other relevant sources to show the latest status of all contract activity.
  • Prepares sales reports, pipeline forecasts as requested by the management.
  • Executes sales operations with strict compliance to the quality procedures & ISO policies of the company.
  • Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.
  • Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended.
  • Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required to perform the role.
  • Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Sales or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with sales operations in a construction / engineering organization
  • Fluent written and spoken English essential, Arabic preferred
