What is the job?
The position is accountable for soliciting and handling sales opportunities. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. Conducts day-to-day activities related to sales with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives. To analyze local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.
Every day is different at IHG, but you’ll mostly be:
- Identify and develop potential clients in specified offline segments and incorporate into Sales Pipelines
- Acquire thorough knowledge of respective accounts and their hospitality needs
- Promote all the hotel’s products and services
- Conduct regular planned sales visitations to respective accounts
- Understand client requirements and ensure that the products and services offered correspond effectively to their request
- Provide after-sales service and ensure that all client feedback is taken seriously and escalated to relevant top management if necessary
- Meet and exceed given Top-line Revenue objectives
- Ensure cost-effective sales activities are practiced at all times
- Work to increase hotel profitability with higher yielding rates and lower cost of sales
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting on the market and competitor information

What we need from you:
Minimum of 2-3 years Sales experience in 5* Hotel property; Hospitality degree or equivalent; Excellent customer relations, problem solving and time management skills; Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and Opera Sales; Proven ability to create new business opportunities; Assertive, professional and positive with a proven ability to develop in a team environment; Must be able to work independently and maintain a positive attitude within a very busy environment; Valid driver's license is preferred.

- Be familiar with hotel products, rates, and promotions at all times. Maintain up-to-date understanding of company offerings and involve in cross-selling when required.
- Monitor competitors' strengths and weaknesses, providing weekly updates after visiting their properties for tracking purposes.

- Sign contracts in accordance with the official Rate Policy, in coordination with the DOS.
