• Ensure that applications’ development, provisioning and maintenance of appropriate technologies is aligned and consistent to business requirements and strategies.
• Evaluate the necessity and viability of IT projects related to infrastructure and operations and develop a prioritized project list based on the implementation feasibility and organization’s priorities.
• Follow IT project methodology and framework including development of detailed project scope and user requirements, resources needed, outsourcing strategy, cost schedule, risk management plan, testing plan etc., to ensure projects are executed within the quality time and approved costs.
• Overview the ERP development processes, to ensure that overall architecture and systems integration of the respective systems acquired by company are properly aligned with the needs in order to strengthen and improve the overall IT infrastructure.
• Lead the overall performance of IT operations systems in order to recommend continuous improvement and meet changing needs of the IT department.
• Provide assistance across the organization and support peers when needed to perform their duties.
• Perform other activities as and when required by the Management.

People & Talent

• Manage the performance management process by setting annual objectives, and developing staff through mentoring, coaching and constructive feedback.
• Prepare and recommend the department’s budget in alignment to the respective annual business plan.
• Monitor the department’s financial performance against the approved budget, identify areas of unsatisfactory performance (if any), and recommend mitigating actions.

Organization Structure

• Contribute in defining an optimum structure for the department, to ensure smooth workflow of operational processes and optimal utilization of resources.

Change Management

• Identify and manage implementation of change initiatives on systems, processes and practices considering ‘international leading practices’, and/or other changes in the business environment.
• Manage the development and implementation of departmental policies, systems, processes and procedures to ensure operational excellence.
• Recommend improvements to departmental procedures, and ensure implementation of policies, procedures, systems and controls covering the assigned areas of responsibility and all activities meet UDC’s standards, compliance, and regulatory requirements, align to business requirements, and increase operational efficiency.

Management Reporting

• Monitor, control and report key performance indicators related to the department to track performance and recommend corrective actions.

General Accountabilities

• Provide assistance across the organization and support peers when needed to perform their duties.
• Perform other activities as and when required by the board, the CEO, or other relevant stakeholders.

• Ensure viable solutions are adapted and used for hotel disaster recovery plan and business continuity
• Recommend suitable Software/Hardware vendors for the hotel IT purchases
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure all IT related items meets the various Audit requirements
• Ensure all hotels IT Systems are under appropriate maintenance contract and have routine heath check and repair schedule
• Evaluate and assess life cycle of all technology related solutions and assets and provide adequate advice to refresh the hardware/software. Ensure all necessary settings are properly configured on the computing systems, hardware and servers.
• Run routine software/hardware inventory check and report the status to IT Manager/Leader
• Inspects the Network performance and redo the network design if necessary to meet the hotel operation needs under the supervision of the IT Manager/Leader
• Take preventive measures to foresee, identify and analyse the potential system performance issues
• Ensure all cabling, network diagrams and SOPs are up-to-date
• Work with department head in the preparation and management of department s budget which includes:
• Evaluate the vendor proposals and select the best options and vendors that meets the software/hardware needs of the hotels
• Assists in coordinating the preparation of the departmental annual budget

Accountabilities

This job performs professional accounting duties for a large full-service hotel or a cluster of hotels. This is the middle level professional position in the hotel accounting series.

• Lead the product development lifecycle, reviewing the priorities and goals for your product
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing, and sales
• Address common challenges across projects, align on priorities, enable informed decisions, and keep business execution on track
• Conduct market research, analyse industry trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities
• Communicate your product vision, status updates, and key decisions to ensure alignment and manage expectations
• Conduct usability testing, analyse user feedback, and iterate on the product to improve the user experience
