We are looking for a Systems Engineer to work closely with a sales representative in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Systems Engineer's main mission will be to support the sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales.
**With us you will
- Lead all technical aspects of a sales cycle with the Enterprise customers, from the initial RFIs, through to RFPs & RFQs when required. This includes the project management and active participation in POCs in partnership with the relevant teams both internally and within the customer and/or commercial partner.
- Have the ability to listen and to understand the technical requirements of the customer, reading between the lines to build a solution which outperforms the competitor offering.
- Be the primary technical point of contact for the customer(s) and partners in close collaboration with your sales partner.
- Continuously strive to improve knowledge around the Fortinet products and solutions, along with maintaining a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and Fortinet’s ability to provide long lasting protection against the ever-evolving threats.
- Have a strong ability to position Fortinet solutions to the customer, whether this be remotely or in person. This requires strong communication skills and the ability to confidently present through whiteboarding, technical white papers, technical plans or customer discussions.
- Manage your time effectively when working on multiple deals simultaneously, ensuring a positive customer experience is maintained.
- Maintain accurate activity, contact, and account technical information of all customers and prospects in our CRM (Salesforce).
- Have a high aptitude for security technology, specifically encryption, authentication, with further knowledge of network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN and WAN being desirable. The CISSP accreditation would also be beneficial.
- Are currently or have previously worked in a pre-sales engineer role, managing end to end technical aspects of deals, through to technical closure.
- Can demonstrate your problem solving skills and how this has impacted key wins within your current organisation.
- Understand and can demonstrate your ability to build and maintain customer relationships, including your ability to effectively communicate technically to a range of both external and internal stakeholders.
- Have a strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES

About The Role & Team
A Senior Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing real-time remote support to field service engineers, diagnosing and resolving technical issues with equipment or systems. Offers step-by-step guidance during installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. Acts as an escalation point for complex technical issues that field service engineers cannot resolve onsite unaided. Uses remote diagnostic tools to identify root causes and provides instructions for resolution, including any related software or firmware upgrades. Maintains detailed records and shares technical knowledge with field engineers to improve efficiency. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
What You’ll Do
Technical Support Engineering
- Provide real-time remote support to field service engineers, diagnosing and resolving technical issues with equipment or systems.
- Remotely diagnose and resolve technical issues with equipment or systems in a timely manner.
- Act as escalation point for complex technical issues that field engineers cannot resolve on-site, utilizing remote diagnostic tools to analyze performance and identify root causes.
- Collaborate with product development, engineering teams, and the PSO Service Support Specialist to escalate unresolved technical issues or product defects and recommend improvements.
- Share technical knowledge, best practices, and troubleshooting tips with field engineers to enhance their skills and efficiency.
- Utilize remote monitoring tools to track system performance in real-time, proactively assisting field engineers and addressing recurring issues
- Stay updated on product knowledge and industry trends to enhance service quality.
- Implement data governance policies defined by the Data Owner and ensure adherence to standards.
- Monitor data quality, consistency, and compliance on an ongoing basis.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for data in their area, answering queries and guiding usage.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in field service roles, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of technical equipment or systems (3-5 years recommended).
- Experience providing remote technical support to field engineers or customers, utilizing diagnostic tools and remote assistance software (3-5 years preferred).
- Familiarity with data stewardship roles, including implementing data governance policies and monitoring data quality, with hands-on experience in a data-centric role (3-5years).
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., product development, engineering, or customer service) to resolve technical issues or improve service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles with a focus on technical guidance, training, and maintaining strong client relationships.

- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and other related devices.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Administer network services such as DNS, DHCP, IP address management, and VLANs.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for network systems.
- Coordinate with IT support teams to resolve end-user connectivity issues.
- Prepare and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configuration files, and operational procedures.
- Evaluate and recommend upgrades and improvements to network systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and industry standards.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
- Saudi Nationality is required.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, etc.).
