Project Overview :

Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments. In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports. As we consider the future of aviation globally and in the GCC, we are very enthusiastic about the future of aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

We are currently considering candidates with aviation, other transportation or complex public accessible building project experience to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial and construction management) for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh should it be awarded to Bechtel. This posting serves as an expression of interest only.

Job Summary :

In this role you will be growing and showcasing Bechtel’s Digital solutions and Innovation capability and maturity while expanding culture of digital transformation and innovation by developing, piloting, and implementing solutions related to Engineering, Procurement, Project controls Construction and Commissioning.Additionally, you will be accountablefor developing and delivering execution plans, training plans and required upskilling associated with various physical and digital solutions.

Major Responsibilities :

  • Conduct workshops with client, partners and stakeholders to develop project innovation use-cases, roadmap and plan.
  • Facilitate innovation change control board for identifying impactful innovation, implementation planning, change management and institutionalization program.
  • Review and enhance tender documents with contract language required to enable adoption of targeted innovation by the delivery teams either via EIR for digital workflows or directly into the engineering / procurement specifications and flow-downs.
  • Work with project team to develop a score card for assessing each delivery team’s capability and capacity for upskilling to meet innovation and technology adoption as part of the bid evaluation / award process. Develop training plans on the use of new technologies.
  • Work closely with functional innovation and information management for leveraging standards and incorporating best practices and LL.
  • Define and deploy project dashboards to monitor & track implementation of innovation use-cases and related workflows (e.g., design management and construction management)
  • Establish a structure for communication, stakeholder engagement, mobilization planning, deployment, and measurement of success.
  • Capture lessons learned, best practices and implement improved workflows
  • Provide input to the Project Execution Plan (PEP) for innovation and digital execution
  • Reviews the IS&T Project automation plan to confirm alignment with the innovation roadmap and plans.
  • Conducts regular Assessments to review the implementation of the innovation plans and maturity achieved on the Project, and to seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Champions innovation across the Project by establishing a culture for ideas and improvement opportunities to be raised, considered, and implemented.
  • Education and Experience Requirements :

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science with min of 10-13 years’ experience in delivering large complex AEC projects, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in innovation, digital automation, GIS / BIM / Reality Capture implementation
  • Experience developing innovation plans and an innovation strategy.
  • Experience with dashboard definition, creation and deployment using PowerBI or similar.
  • Experience in working closely with senior Client staff and project cross-functional team, design consultant and contractors.
  • Required Knowledge and Skills :

  • Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
  • Knowledge and experience in digital solutions as it relates to design management, construction management work processes and tools, while learning and understanding client environment and unique requirements.

    Overview:

    The Innovation Senior Engineer is responsible about driving the end-to-end technical realization of strategic innovation initiatives, turning high-potential ideas into robust prototypes and scalable solutions. You will play a key role in shaping ADC’s innovation pipeline by leveraging your deep technical expertise, analytical skills, and strong business acumen.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead Innovation and Own the design and delivery of advanced prototypes and minimum viable products (MVPs) that explore new technologies and business models.
    • Analyze market trends and business objectives to identify and shape innovation opportunities aligned with ADC’s growth priorities.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies, perform competitive benchmarking, and develop proof-of-concepts to validate assumptions.
    • Guide Cross-Functional Development and Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, data scientists, and engineering teams to define technical requirements and oversee solution development.
    • Drive adoption of structured innovation frameworks such as design thinking, lean startup, and agile methodologies to accelerate experimentation and reduce risk.
    • Promote Technical Excellence and Establish engineering best practices in prototyping, testing, and integration to ensure quality, scalability, and alignment with ADC’s regulatory standards.
    • Ensure Compliance & IP Alignment and Support intellectual property processes and ensure new solutions adhere to data privacy, cybersecurity, and telecom regulatory requirements.
    • Proactively research and recommend applications of emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, IoT, cloud-native architectures) to ADC’s innovation portfolio.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).

    Experience:

    • +2 years of progressive experience in technology innovation, engineering, or product development roles.
    • Proven track record delivering innovative solutions in telecom, digital services, or high-tech industries.

    Skills:

    • Deep expertise in technology domains such as cloud, AI/ML, IoT, or network solutions.
    • Familiarity with innovation frameworks (design thinking, lean startup) and agile delivery models.

    The AI Innovation Engineer is a critical member of Master Works’ Innovation Department, responsible for driving the design and delivery of AI-powered PoCs and MVPs that solve real business challenges. This role requires a unique blend of engineering excellence, creativity, and applied research mindset to translate cutting-edge AI capabilities -especially those built on large language models (LLMs)-into functional and validated digital solutions. You will lead AI initiative execution across a variety of domains by leveraging pre-trained models, advanced orchestration techniques, and innovative workflows. Your primary development stack will be Python and modern AI libraries. You will also bridge innovation delivery by building lightweight APIs or frontends using Node.js and React when needed to complete a prototype or MVP.

    • Design and deliver AI-driven PoCs and MVPs that directly support strategic innovation goals across Master Works and its subsidiaries.
    • Develop full-stack AI systems with Python at the core—using frameworks like FastAPI, Transformers, LangChain, Haystack, and PyTorch—to implement AI pipelines and intelligent service components.
    • Integrate and orchestrate LLMs using: - Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) - - - - Knowledge-Augmented Generation (KAG) Model Context Protocol (MCP) Multi-agent orchestration and A2A workflows Prompt engineering and fine-tuning where applicable
    • Interface with LLM providers (OpenAI, Claude, Groq, Cohere, open-source models) through APIs and SDKs, optimizing model utility and cost-efficiency.
    • Design and manage vector-based search architectures using tools like ChromaDB, Weaviate, Pinecone, or FAISS.
    • Prototype interaction layers, visual interfaces, and lightweight dashboards using Node.js and React, especially for showcasing PoC/MVP deliverables.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to shape and prioritize AI use cases, ensuring alignment with internal innovation streams and subsidiary needs.
    • Evaluate, benchmark, and refine AI models for accuracy, performance, and business relevance.
    • Create internal documentation, reusable components, and technical guidelines to support scaling and knowledge sharing.
    • Stay up to date with emerging AI trends and continuously integrate relevant new methods into practice.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering AI-based systems with tangible outcomes.
    • Demonstrated mastery of Python for building AI workflows, services, and integrations using leading AI/ML frameworks. Proven experience in developing and integrating LLM-based applications using APIs, SDKs, and orchestration tools.
    • Solid knowledge of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and prompt tuning techniques.
    • Familiarity with autonomous agent design patterns (e.g., A2A, task chaining, multi-agent flow control).
    • Working knowledge of Node.js and React for full-stack PoC/MVP assembly.
    • Strong experience with cloud-native development, containerization (e.g., Docker), and modern development practices.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience building Arabic-aware NLP solutions or localized AI models (e.g., Najdi dialect adaptation, intent classification in Arabic).
    • Background in deploying AI innovations in government, defense, or regulated sectors. Experience working in high-velocity innovation teams or R&D-style workstreams.
    • Familiarity with tools like MLflow, LangSmith, or Weights & Biases for experiment tracking.
    • Contributions to AI open-source initiatives, technical publications, or public demos is a plus.
