1. Job Objective:

1.1 To establish procedure for authority and responsibilities of personnel working as a Microbiology

Supervisor in Quality control - Microbiology Department.

2. Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities:

2.1 This procedure is applicable to quality control – microbiology in Alrazi pharma ind. Dammam KSA.

3. Education/Licensure:

3.1 Special Education/Licensure (if governmental or regulatory special requirements):

Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, life science.

Master’s degree in microbiology, biology, life science.

3.2 General Education/Licensure:

Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, life science.

4. Professional Experience:

4.1 Special Professional Experience (Key Responsibilities):

- Oversee microbiological testing for sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical products

4.1.1

4.1.2 - Manage and handle microbiology laboratory operations and personnel

4.1.3 - Develop and implement microbiological testing protocols

4.1.4 - Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, SFDA, GCC, WHO, ICH and other regulatory standards

4.1.5 - Conduct root cause analyses for microbiological deviations, Conduct and document OOS, OOT, deviation,

and laboratory investigation procedures

4.1.6 - Validate and verify microbiological testing methods

4.1.7 -Cooperate with the other departments such (RD &QA&SC&PD)

4.1.8 - Oversee media preparation, media fill/aseptic process simulations, and validation as per sterile guidelines

-Manage laboratory inventory, reagents, reference cultures, logbooks, and documentation control for GMP

compliance

4.1.10 - Review microbiological data for Annual Product Reviews and contribute to quality risk management activities

4.1.11 - Promote a culture of safety, contamination control, and regulatory compliance within the team

-Ensure readiness for and participate in regulatory, client, and internal audits, external audits respond to audit

observations relating to microbiology

-Develop, validate, and implement test methods for sterility, bioburden, endotoxins, and microbial limits as per

pharmacopeial standards (USP, EP, JP, etc.)

-Oversee execution, review, and approval of microbiological test results; ensure compliance with current GMP,

cGLP, GDP and regulatory guidelines

4.1.15 -Lead environmental monitoring (EM) programs for cleanrooms and controlled areas, and trend EM data

4.1.16 Ensure laboratory equipment calibration, qualification, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting

4.2 General Professional Experience (Qualifications & Skills):

4.2.1 - 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical microbiology, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

4.2.2 -Shall be responsible for following the aseptic technique in microbiology laboratory.

4.2.3 -Shall be aware from microbiology latest update techniques and procedures, - Proficiency in microbial

identification techniques

4.2.4 -Profound knowledge of USP, EP, JP, FDA, EMA, WHO, and local GMP requirements for sterile and non-sterile

4.2.5 - Experience with method validation, EM programs, and data trending

4.2.6 - Strong analytical, investigation, and problem-solving skills

4.2.7 - Excellent communication and people management abilities

4.2.8 - Proficiency in laboratory IT systems/LIMS/SAP/ERP or other system controls and quality documentation

4.2.9 - Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities

5. Core Competencies (Performance Indicators):

5.1 -Knowledge of Microbiology testing procedure, Business demands may present a need to work extended hours.

5.2 - Laboratory compliance with regulatory and GMP requirements

5.3 - Timely reporting and resolution of OOS, OOT, and deviations

5.4 - Staff competency/training completion rates

5.5 - Inspection/audit outcomes and effective closure of observations

5.6 - Data integrity and traceability of microbiological documentation

5.7 -Handle lab equipment with operational procedure.

-Compliance with safety protocols must be adaptable to shifting priorities and operate with a sense of urgency

while maintaining high quality in order to meet important timelines in a high throughput lab.

Job Description

The Center for Environment & Marine Studies at KFUPM is seeking qualified researchers to fill a research scientist position. The potential candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry with experience in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry. Besides, they must utilize that experiment in the environmental monitoring and in the determination of hazardous contaminants such as TPH (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon), PAH (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon), polychlorinated, and BTEX (benzene, ethylbenzene, and toluene) in water, sediment and biota samples using different analytical instruments such as GC-MS, HPLC and LC-MS.

Job Responsibility

· Perform samples analysis for quantification of different environmental pollutants using the most common analytical techniques GC- FID , GC-MS, HPLC and LC-MS.

· Train joiner chemists on the advanced analytical techniques.

· Conduct basic and applied research related to water treatment, analytical method development and environmental monitoring.

· Publish findings in reputable peer reviewed journals.
· Write research proposals.
