Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil / Structural Engineer to join our team in Riyadh , Saudi Arabia. Structural engineering experience, capable of overseeing complex engineering projects from inception to completion. This role requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet client specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the project follows the setting out plan.
- Ensure that site progress aligns with the approved schedule and scope of work.
- Inspect work, samples, materials, and workmanship for compliance with project documents.
- Follow up and supervise all inspection requests.
- Ensure materials and work performed meet specifications, ITP, and method statements.
- Supervise daily site activities, including monitoring progress and manpower deployment.
- Possess excellent experience in structural works, earthworks, piling works, and steel structures.
- Oversee quality control, health, and safety on site, ensuring adherence to safety plans.
- Coordinate between structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines.
- Ensure contractor work does not interfere improperly with public access or private properties.
- Investigate site conditions to identify potential obstacles for construction.
- Coordinate testing of materials, processes, or systems related to engineering works.
- Review technical submittals, inspection requests, and ensure quality, safety, progress, and resource management.
- Review and recommend on shop drawings and method statements.
- Maintain detailed records of work quantities, equipment, labor, and materials used daily.
- Participate in site meetings and resolve technical queries.
- Review and prepare ITPs for civil activities.
- Prepare progress reports aligned with project schedules and resources.
- Report difficulties or problems encountered on site.
- Review and recommend contractor payments, quantities, and variations to the Project Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Civil/Structural Engineering, preferably in an engineering consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of engineering systems, codes, and practices.
- Ability to problem-solve and develop innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Proficient in relevant engineering software.
- Willingness to relocate if required.
- Valid SCE Membership (Professional or Consultant).
- Valid and transferable Iqama (if non-Saudi).
