What will I be doing?

The SPM's ultimate success will be measured by how they assist with the development, implementation, and commissioning of standardized security infrastructure systems for the AWS region. This is measured by agreed-upon objectives and metrics related to key areas such as the level and quality of customer service provided, access control effectiveness, and the protection of our customers' data, employees, and visitors. The position is responsible for observing Physical Security Standards and Programs that support the goals of the Global Physical Security Team while enabling the local site managers to draw related services from the team in a self-service manner.

- Provide technical leadership for large-scale security engineering projects, coordinate security system design specifications and change management between internal teams and external vendors.

Audible Information Security team is looking for an experienced Security Engineering Leader to join our world class team. We are obsessed with protecting customer trust. We are a hands-on team working to protect our computer networks, servers, applications and data assets.
As a Security Engineering Leader, you will.
- Drive the security architecture of the industry leading technology underlying the Audible web and mobile applications and services to define and implement secure-by-default and defense-in-depth strategies
- Partner with the developer teams developing our services, and contribute security expertise to the architecture and design of Audible systems
- Apply your knowledge to conduct or guide deep testing of these systems to uncover security issues both manually and using developing automation tools as needed to support your work
- Research new techniques, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors in these components to proactively drive security improvement across each functional area
- Play a leadership role in Audible InfoSec and Audible development community setting direction for security of key technologies and serving as a subject matter expert resource for security engineers and business leaders inside and outside of your organization
- Apply your security and business knowledge to drive secure and pragmatic improvements broadly to Audible services, making technical trade-offs between short versus long term security and business goals

- BS in Engineering or Computer Science, or other relevant degree
- 5+ years experience in security engineering, in areas including application security, secure SDLC, penetration testing, system/network/cloud security, incident response, and risk mitigation
- 1+ years experience in a technical leadership role
- Hands-on technical expertise in building effective security solutions at large scale
- Experience in mentoring an engineering community on complex technical issues or ambiguous technical challenges
- MS in Engineering or Computer Science, or other relevant degree
- Strong understanding of web application, networking, and cloud technologies
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans or solutions
- Expert knowledge of web and mobile application vulnerabilities, attacks, and mitigation methods
- Demonstrated experience using communication skills to advocate security for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in driving large scale, cross-organization initiatives
- Sharp analytical abilities and proven innovation skills to unblock adoption of security mechanisms
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., SANS/GIAC, OSCP/OSWA/OSWE, CompTIA, Microsoft, Linux, AWS)

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Operations Security Team is seeking a highly talented and motivated physical Security Program Manager (SPM) to join our team.

The position is responsible for the design, installation and integration of security systems equipment including, but not limited to, Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.
The ideal candidate for the role will be willing and able to work in all related disciplines, at all levels; from technology research to system design and layout, oversight of construction and implementation, as well as maintenance and upgrades over the life of the system. You will have an in-depth knowledge of security technology, be innovative, highly organized, and will have demonstrated the ability to deliver results on time and within budget.
The SPM is a key member of the EMEA Security team and reports to the in country Cluster Security Manager. The SPM supervises the compliance of physical security standards, manages Physical Security Projects, serves on cross functional teams and is considered one of the Subject Matter Experts in all facets of Physical Security.
The SPM's ultimate success will be measured by how they assist with the development, implementation and commissioning of standardized security infrastructure systems for the AWS region. This is measured by agreed upon objectives and metrics related to key areas such as the level and quality of customer service provided, access control effectiveness, and the protection of our customers data, employees and visitors. The position is responsible for observing Physical Security Standards and Programs that support the goals of the Global Physical Security Team while enabling the local site managers to draw related services from the team, in a self-service manner.
This includes:
- Provide technical leadership for large-scale security engineering projects, coordinate security system design specifications and change management between internal teams and external vendors.
- Excellent project management skills are required with ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have experience in prioritizing tasks effectively and working seamlessly across organizational boundaries.
- Securing the compliance of physical security project standards, project Scopes of Work, budgets and timelines.
- Designs, develops, and implements solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs and change outs.
- Support security system equipment commissioning.
- Completing the final Test and Acceptance of security systems.
- Build and deploy training programs for all users of physical security systems.

5-10 years of experience in managing the operation and installation of regional and/or global physical security systems.
Experience as a Physical Security Program Manager for large and complex installation.
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BlueBeam or other design tools.
Extensive experience in corporate security and workplace safety.
CPP, PSP or CISSP Certification.
5 to 10 years of experience in managing security professionals or security monitoring centers.
