Position: Security Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join LiverX team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable network architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
Third-Party Firewall & NVA Architecture:
- Lead the design, deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of third-party Network Virtual Appliances (NVAs) such as Palo Alto VM-Series, F5 BIG-IP, and Fortinet FortiGate.
- Implement high-availability (HA) configurations for firewalls and establish robust traffic inspection patterns for both north-south (ingress/egress) and east-west traffic.
- Integrate NVAs with cloud-native routing, load balancing, and automation services.
Landing Zone & Foundational Networking:
- A core responsibility is to build the security and network infrastructure for landing zones.
- Define and implement hub-and-spoke network topologies, Shared VPC/VNet designs, subnetting and IP address management (IPAM) strategies, and centralized ingress/egress points.
- Establish network segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies to create secure zones and control traffic flow between workloads.
Network & Security Services:
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls (e.g., GCP Firewall Rules, AWS Security Groups), Web Application Firewalls (WAF like Cloud Armor), DDoS protection, and load balancers.
- Configure and maintain secure hybrid connectivity using Cloud VPN, Interconnect/Direct Connect, and SD-WAN integrations.
Automation & Operational Excellence:
- Automate the provisioning and configuration of all network and security resources using Terraform.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting for network services to ensure performance and availability.
- Act as the subject matter expert for troubleshooting complex network and security issues, and participate in incident response activities.
· Collaborate with application and DevOps teams to ensure their networking and security requirements are met in a secure and automated fashion.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education
: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
