Position: Head of Technical - General Lines Insurance

Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Industry: Non-Life Insurance

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the technical underwriting department across multiple lines of business, including Property, Engineering, Liability, and Aviation.
• Manage day-to-day technical operations including quotation, underwriting performance, broker activity, and reinsurance placement.
• Develop and implement pricing tools and modeling strategies to support underwriting accuracy and profitability.
• Coordinate closely with sales, reinsurance brokers, compliance, and internal audit teams.
• Drive ongoing development and upskilling of team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Provide regular business performance updates to senior leadership and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Contribute to business planning and support the sales function with market insights and technical guidance.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in non-life technical underwriting, with international exposure gained through roles in dynamic insurance markets abroad.
• Demonstrated experience in reinsurance placement and working closely with brokers and commercial teams.
• Previous leadership responsibility over technical or underwriting teams.
• Insurance certifications such as ACII (CII – Chartered Insurance Institute) are highly preferred.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

Position: Motor Surveyor – Insurance Sector

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles at repair workshops, accident sites, or inspection centers.
• Assess the extent, cause, and nature of vehicle damage.
• Verify the accuracy of repair estimates and workshop quotations.
• Prepare detailed survey reports with photographic evidence for claims assessment.
• Advise underwriters on risk assessment and recommend insurance policy conditions.
• Follow up with workshops and dealers to ensure timely repairs and service completion.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with SAMA and company regulations.
• Support fraud detection efforts by identifying suspicious cases and irregularities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• IFCE certificate required (Saudi market compliance).
• 1–3 years of experience in insurance, accident investigation, or automotive damage assessment.
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair processes.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Supervising the management of medical insurance operations, providing the best medical services to employees, and contributing to achieving the company’s goals.

Your new role, what’s involved?

• Follow-up and attention to the direct relationship with the medical insurance company or the intermediary (Broker).
• Adding Saudi employees to the company and excluding them in the event of resignation from the insurance company.
• Follow-up the financial claims submitted by the workers to the insurance company.
• Follow-up of bills addition and deletion with the insurance company.
• Follow-up promotions for the company’s employees and their cost after fulfilling the promotion requirements.
• Preparing periodic and annual reports for the services provided by the medical insurance company.
• Communicate with medical insurance companies before the end of the contract to get the offers through the intermediary (Broker) or Search in person for better medical insurance offers.
• Coordinating with the communications officer to conduct a questionnaire for the company’s employees to seek their views on the services provided by the insurance company.
• Follow-up the notes and complaints of the company’s employees regarding the service provided by the insurance company.
• Coordinating with the employment official regarding new appointments to issue the medical insurance cards for them according to the internal regulations and for non-Saudis follow-up on the transfer of their sponsorship to exclude them from the insurance.
• Coordinating with the internal auditor to reviews the insurance invoices and submitting them to the financial department for disbursement.
• Coordinating with the medical insurance company in preparing features, benefits and networks for the insurance grade.
• Carrying out the work assigned to him by the direct manager and related to the nature of his work.

• Internal relations.
• Functional relations with the director of Human Resources Department.
• Coordinating relations with the rest of the directors of the various departments of the company.
• External relations with the broker and insurance company.

• Supervision ability.
• Communication and reporting ability.
• Ability to make decisions and assume responsibilities.
• Knowledge of policies and procedure.

• University degree or experience in Human Resources Management, Administrative Affairs, it is preferable to obtain a specialized certificate in Human Resources.
