- Carry out the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance activities of a wide range of mechanical equipment in a safe manner in accordance with client policies & procedures and accepted technical standards.

We're hiring an experienced HVAC Technician to handle installation, PPM, and troubleshooting of chillers (air- & water-cooled), package units, AHUs, and FCUs in industrial and commercial facilities. The role demands strong diagnostic skills on large-capacity systems/central plants and hands-on experience with leading OEMs.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, operate, and maintain:
- Chillers: centrifugal, screw, scroll, and reciprocating (air- & water-cooled).
- Package Units (rooftop & modular).
- AHUs/FCUs (filters, coils, motors, bearings, belts, dampers).
- Perform PPM/CM, including checklists, lubrication, alignment, vibration checks, and coil cleaning.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and controls faults (compressors, oil circuits, EXVs/TXVs, contactors, VFDs/soft starters, sensors).
- Conduct refrigeration cycle analysis (superheat/subcooling, leak detection, evacuation, charging) for R134a, R410A, R407C, R1234yf (as applicable).
- Balance air and hydronic systems; verify ΔT/ΔP, set flows on chilled-water/condensing-water circuits; troubleshoot pumps & cooling towers.
- Interface with BMS/PLC: review alarms, I/O points, safeties, and sequences; adjust setpoints within authorization.
- Use OEM diagnostic tools and service software for fault codes, trending, and root-cause analysis.
- Complete service reports, parts lists, and recommendations; support quotations for corrective work.
Brand/OEM Exposure (Required)
- Proven field experience on YORK, Trane, Carrier, Daikin (spelled "Daikin"), and similar OEMs (e.g., McQuay/Danfoss, LG, Lennox, Rheem, etc.).
- Ability to read OEM wiring diagrams, parameter tables, and service bulletins; apply model-specific procedures.
Large-Capacity Troubleshooting (Must-Have)
- Hands-on diagnosis for large tonnage chillers/central plants (e.g., 200–1500 TR and above).
- Experience with centrifugal & screw compressors, oil management systems, purge units, condenser tube maintenance, and approach temperature optimization.
- Familiarity with water quality/chemical treatment basics and their impact on heat-exchange efficiency.
