The Role

The company is looking for a Project Geologist to support exploration and resource development efforts, especially in advanced-stage mineral exploration. The Project Geologist will support the Exploration & Resource Development (ERD) team by contributing to the identification, planning, and execution of exploration programs focused on Industrial Minerals (IM) and New Materials (NM). The role involves hands-on fieldwork, including mapping, sampling, and drill supervision, as well as data analysis and geological modeling to support resource evaluation. Reporting to the Manager of IM & NM Projects, the incumbent will collaborate closely with geophysicists, geochemists, and multidisciplinary teams to generate and prioritize targets, ensuring alignment with corporate exploration strategies and maintaining a strong safety and environmental focus.

The Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize geological targets for further exploration and resource development.
• Design and plan exploration programs (e.g., mapping, soil sampling, drilling supervision).
• Lead field logistics and conduct geological fieldwork (e.g., core logging, data collection).
• Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective field execution in line with EHSS standards.
• Analyze geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to evaluate results and update geological models.
• Contribute to refining resource estimates and advancing technical understanding of mineral systems.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations on exploration results, geological models, and resource potential.
• Proactively engage in training, mentorship, and workshops to enhance technical competencies.
• Stay current on advancements in exploration technologies and methods.
• Ensure all required permits, licenses, and certifications are maintained.
• Promote and uphold safety standards and identify potential exploration and business risks.

The Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology (Master’s preferred)
• 2–7 years of experience in mineral exploration, including greenfield targeting and drill testing
• Strong field skills: mapping, sampling, drill supervision, and reporting
• Experience with multiple commodities (Cu, Ni, Zn, Li, Ag, Au, REE), especially in Archean Crust
• Proficient in GIS (QGIS preferred) and 3D modeling software (Leapfrog)
• Knowledge of JORC and NI 43-101 standards; QA/QC experience
• Skilled in geological software (e.g., ArcGIS, Datamine, Surpac)
• Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills
• Safety-focused and experienced in managing field logistics
• Adaptable, collaborative, and eager to develop professionally

We are seeking a Development Geologist, with expertise in reservoir characterization and development of tight sand plays.

This Division is responsible for the characterization and development of an established tight sand play in the Kingdom, through initiating and executing integrated subsurface projects to guide development campaigns in order to meet gas production targets from unconventional resources. In addition, the division offers support to production engineering for stimulation and hydraulic fracturing operations.

The Tight Sand Development Geologist's primary role will be to generate and interpret fit-for-purpose geological models for reservoir characterization, field development plans, and hydrocarbon in-place assessments by integrating sedimentology, petrophysics, and geomechanics as well as drilling, stimulation, and production.

Candidate will be required to perform and demonstrate the following:

1. Use geological models to recommend placement of wells and supplementary processes to enhance production.
2. Integrate and utilize geological and engineering data to optimize field development strategy.
3. Identify opportunities for workovers, infill drilling, and multi-well pad optimization.
4. Perform complex geological assignments such as resource assessments and create volumetric calculations to determine reserves estimations.
5. Build and document static models while illustrating with cross sections, maps, cross plots, histograms, and summary tables, with high efficiency in using Petrel or RMS software.
6. Work with reservoir engineers and reserve auditors to determine reserve estimations.
7. Collaborate with field production and drilling departments on well performance and optimization.
8. Champion operational activities from planning to execution using a Collaborative Work Environment by working closely with drilling, production engineering, and reservoir engineering teams.

The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related science as appropriate to the required discipline. An advanced degree is preferred and will reduce prerequisite work experience stated below by one year for a Master's degree and two years for a Ph.D.
2. Approximately 15 years’ experience with at least 5-10 years in unconventional tight sand plays across different unconventional hydrocarbon basins required. We will consider candidates with more or less experience depending on the quality of their experience.
3. High level experience in integrating regional to field-scale geological evaluations and applied petroleum systems analysis with knowledge of industry best practices in development optimization and operational efficiency with a high efficiency in using static modeling software such as Petrel and RMS.
4. The candidate must have the ability to work on a multidisciplinary team with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills for knowledge sharing objectives.

The candidate will have experience in field development with exposure to geological evaluation and multi-well pad execution specific to active horizontal geosteering operations. The candidate will also have experience providing assistance in well planning and drilling execution capable to work in a real-time operations center on shift rotation with multidisciplinary teams.

1. Experienced utilizing well known geosteering applications such as StarSteer is required.
2. Experienced with geosteering automation (AI) or assisted geosteering is an advantage.
3. Able to conduct data analytics using Python scripting, TIBCO Spotfire, Orange or similar apps.
4. Proficiency in data visualization platforms such as PowerBI or Tableau.
5. Capable of performing 2D and 3D seismic interpretation is an advantage.
6. Knowledgeable on directional drilling technology use, RSS, and mud motors.

1. Provide geological input on target selection, wellbore trajectory and geosteering operations.
2. Work in a 24/7 rotation schedule remotely monitoring operations from the headquarters.
3. Work on shift rotation, days and nights as per the 8 hour shift program.
4. Geosteer complex wells using advanced LWD technology independently.
5. Train junior professionals to develop the required real-time operations skills.
6. Monitor well execution and operation maintaining proper communication with rig site.
7. Use drilling parameters and well correlations to identify coring points.
8. Document operations in written reports and illustrate with cross sections, maps etc.
9. Evaluate current practices to identify improvement opportunities Company wide.
10. Present methodology and project evaluation to technical management.

The Senior Database Geologist supports the Chief Database Geoscientist in implementing changes to importing procedures and database customizations. They are also responsible for continually reviewing and maintaining the integrity and quality of the exploration data. They will train users in database software and assist in data importation.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Extensive knowledge of SQL and SQL Server Management Studio.
2. Extensive experience in Fusion, DataShed, or Aquire.
