Job Description:

  • To be fully responsible for the revenue generation of the exhibition stands and sponsorship packages to achieve agreed sales targets for your event.
  • Sell exhibition space and sponsorships in accordance with set targets to ensure the revenue budget is achieved.
  • Working with the Event Director to support the management of a network of overseas sales agents who sell exhibition stand and sponsorship and to achieve agreed sales target.
  • To seek out, consider and evaluate new business opportunities.
  • Monitor sales figures and reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to enable senior management to be updated on the progress of the show and sponsorships.
  • Regularly and frequently review and monitor competitive publications/exhibitions and identify new leads to ensure that sales opportunities are developed and maximized.
  • Maintain regular contact and visit existing and potential clients to ensure current and new business is developed.
  • Visit exhibitions and other events in order to contact current clients and develop relations with potential clients.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities by organic growth/new product development in order that the revenue is maximized.
  • Establish substantial relationships throughout the marketplace in order to become aware of new business/acquisition opportunities.
  • Together with the Event Director and Marketing Manager, assist in developing a marketing strategy to generate maximum exhibitor participation, visitor and exhibitor attendance figures.
  • To work closely with the accounts department in collections due for exhibitor sales.

Reporting and administration:

  • Update all activities and contacts on Salesforce (CRM System).
  • Submit a weekly pipeline report ahead of the pipeline meeting.
  • Report back weekly in a pipeline meeting.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of B2B sales management and account handling experience within the exhibitions/events industry.
  • Familiarity in selling construction and design products/services is a plus.
  • Excellent communication in Arabic & English (written and spoken is must).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a wide variety of clients and partners across multiple mediums, including phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Highly motivated, and ambitious, a desire to take ownership and responsibility to ensure the best outcome.
  • Ability to work towards KPIs, using them as a motivational tool to hit and exceed targets.

We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially minded Senior Construction Lawyer to join our team in Riyadh. You will play a critical role in supporting the legal aspects of a landmark mixed-use development project that includes residential, commercial, hotel, school, and public realm components. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience advising on large-scale construction and development projects, particularly in the KSA and / or other parts of the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Advise on all legal matters related to the planning, design, construction, financing and delivery of the development project.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of construction-related agreements, including EPC, FIDIC, design & build, consultancy, project management, and sub-contractor agreements and / or oversee their drafting by external law firms.

  • In-depth knowledge of FIDIC and other standard form construction contracts. Strong understanding of KSA or GCC construction law, regulations, and market practices (experience in KSA preferred but not essential).
  • Experience of finance documentation an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in complex, multi-stakeholder environments and manage competing priorities.

      We are currently considering candidates with aviation, other transportation or complex public accessible building project experience to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial and construction management) for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh should it be awarded to Bechtel. This posting serves as an expression of interest only.

      Job Summary:

      In this role, you will lead a team and supervise contractors on a project. Your oversight will ensure contractors craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.

      Major Responsibilities:
      • Manages the team that has the responsibility for construction oversight and compliance of contractors, ensuring works are carried out as per the drawings, specifications and standards, as per schedule and ensures compliance to ES&H plans, quality standards and local/national regulatory safety codes
      • Oversee performance of the installation contractors, project status, schedule, cost control, change management systems
      • Lead and coordinate with contractors, engineers, client, and other stakeholders involved in the project execution
      • Leads input to ensure continuous construction work fronts availability through review of look ahead schedules, commodity charts, resource charts, engineering deliverables, material delivery schedules and any other service requirements including contractor submittals
      • Ensures required permits and licenses are in place prior to the start of the specific work at site. Verifies compliance with Permit and License requirements and stipulations
      • Ensure all materials and equipment on the site fully comply with international standard and technical specification requirements
      • Ensure the closure of project is systematic and complete in all respects
      • Maintains an effective relationship with client, stakeholders and other functional departments and coordinates all jobsite contractual activities
      • Coordinates and monitors interfaces with other contractors, lead the review meetings
      Education and Experience Requirements:

      Grade 26: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

      Grade 27: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience

      Required Knowledge and Skills:
      • A strong understanding of construction means & methods and requirements, including experience reviewing Contractors’ submittals, work method statements, safety plans, quality plans and traffic control plans for compliance with contract documents.
      • Have a basic understanding of contract administration, including preparation of correspondence, analysis of claims, and construction negotiation.
      • Experience working in international locations, either on CM or Direct Hire Contracts, preferably in the Middle East.
      • Knowledge of the use of subcontracts; knowledge of the contractor/subcontractor’s responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
      • Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors.
      • Must be strong in construction technical knowledge.
      • Ability to manage priorities and take on additional evolving responsibilities with demonstrated experience providing direction/ supervising a team.
      • Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders to make critical decisions where required.
      • Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization.
      • Ability to work to deadlines and accelerated project schedules.
      • Previous experience of working in a live operational airport environment would be highly beneficial.
