About the role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Compliance Manager to support the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the organisation’s compliance framework. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in financial services compliance, with a strong grasp of CBUAE Laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance & AML Oversight: Ensure compliance with all UAE local legislation and regulations, while strengthening internal compliance frameworks, policies and procedures
  • Support the design, implementation, and enhancement of AML/CTF policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring alignment with CBUAE laws and regulations, and international standards and best practices.
  • Support regulatory change management process by maintaining oversight of implementation of new or amended laws and regulations.
  • Proactively identifying key areas of risk and work with first line teams to in the development of mitigation plans
  • Support with Technology & Compliance: Experience using technology to enhance compliance operations (e.g., transaction monitoring, sanction screening, automation).
  • Support with implementing compliance AML/CFT Systems and provide input into system calibration, scenario testing, and optimization of AML/CFT tools
  • Support in the development and maintenance of the Regulatory Compliance oversight framework, including ongoing updates to relevant UAE Regulatory Compliance policies and procedures.
  • Provide advice and guidance to other teams and key stakeholders
  • Supervise the quality of KYC, EDD, and periodic reviews with a focus on high-risk customers
  • Tech-enabled compliance & product advisory; to work closely with key stakeholders, effectively communicating compliance requirements
  • Regulatory Reporting: Manage and coordinate regulatory reporting

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Minimum of 5 years working in financial services with compliance, AML/CFT, financial crime compliance experience
  • Previous Financial Regulation advisory role experience with a strong grasp of CBUAE laws and regulations
  • Proven experience with implementing compliance AML/CFT Systems and provide input into system calibration, scenario testing, and optimization of AML/CFT tools
  • Technology & Compliance: Experience using technology to enhance compliance operations (e.g., transaction monitoring, sanction screening, automation).
  • Strong knowledge of AML/counter-terrorist financing) UAE laws and Regulations
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and apply them effectively;
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Product Managers and Engineers and provide practical, actionable, and value added recommendations;

Key Accountability and Activities:

This role ensures that the organization adheres to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies, including Waste Management, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), ISO standards, and licensing. The Compliance Monitoring Manager will develop and implement monitoring programs, conduct audits, and report on compliance performance to senior management. Responsible for assisting in the delivery of the NEOM Waste Management Strategy objectives by managing implementation and maintenance of the Compliance management strategy, policies, processes, standards, and systems. Sustain the Integrated Compliance and Monitoring System in line with the required industry standards, permitting requirements and business requirements across the organisation through existing and new procedures. Regulate, control, and improve the quality of all processes throughout the project management cycle. Embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the project life cycle and operations.

Key Accountability and Activities:

This role ensures that the organization adheres to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies, including Waste Management, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), ISO standards, and licensing. The Compliance Monitoring Manager will develop and implement monitoring programs, conduct audits, and report on compliance performance to senior management. Responsible for assisting in the delivery of the NEOM Waste Management Strategy objectives by managing implementation and maintenance of the Compliance management strategy, policies, processes, standards, and systems. Sustain the Integrated Compliance and Monitoring System in line with the required industry standards, permitting requirements and business requirements across the organisation through existing and new procedures. Regulate, control, and improve the quality of all processes throughout the project management cycle. Embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the project life cycle and operations.
