Job Description
  1. Conducts daily briefing for Room Attendants.
  2. Conducts daily inspection of employee grooming.
  3. Inspects all guest rooms, corridors, and pantries daily to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness.

  19. Waters and changes flowers as per schedule requirements.
  20. Ensures all flower arrangements look pleasant before delivery to rooms.
  21. Inspects guest rooms and other areas with attention to detail.
  22. Conducts daily physical inspections of occupied, vacant, and checkout rooms at 1300 hours.
  23. Ensures maid trolleys are parked properly in guest corridors and at room entrances during cleaning.
  24. Monitors key issue no. 3 / entering/leaving guest rooms by room attendants.
  25. Responsible for cleanliness, maintenance, property, and hygiene of guest rooms, corridors, and service areas.
  26. Oversees the work of PA attendants.
  27. Handles all service matters to guests at the station.
  28. Supervises the activities of Room Attendants.
  29. Checks all check-out and guest rooms.
  30. Maintains awareness of daily activities and hotel facilities knowledge.
  31. Ensures proper grooming at all times.
  32. Shows cooperation and respect within the team and other departments.
Qualifications

University Degree in any field, minimum 2 years in a similar role with a five-star hotel.

Additional Information

Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality, 8–10 years of experience in 4-5 star hotels.

The Role

As a Housekeeping Supervisor – Public area, your role is to serve the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by supporting the management of the hotel’s Housekeeping department, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are well maintained and cleaned, and providing guests and employees with a safe and orderly environment.

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the appearance and environment of all guest rooms meets the highest standards as set by Red Sea Global Hospitality. He or she trains, leads, and works with all housekeeping associates to provide exceptionally clean, neat, and well-maintained guest rooms and corridors. The supervisor also manages the room attendants on the floor and public area attendants on the hotel public area and conducts inspections daily.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As a Housekeeping Supervisor – Public area, you will need to:

  • Guarantee the cleanliness of all public, guest-facing, and back-of-house areas of the hotel at all times.
  • Ensure that all employees are acting in accordance with Health and Safety standards, using and storing chemicals properly, and using necessary safety materials when carrying out their tasks.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all team members are aware of and follow departmental SOP’s and LSOPs make them accessible to all employees for reference, revision, and updates as needed.
  • Collaborate with the hotel training manager to identify training needs, develop, and deliver essential training for department employees to meet business requirements. Support the training of the Departmental Trainers to improve hotel service quality consistently.
  • Coach and guide new members of the team, with proper orientation training.
  • Assist in managing relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor the condition and keep records of linen, toweling, uniforms and other items if applicable, to maintain adequate supply levels.
  • Ensure that lost and found items are properly stored and maintain accurate logs.

  • Oversee all special requests are met, with reference to families visiting our resorts with children.
  • Perform any additional duties as required for operational smoothness.

  • Waters and changes flowers as scheduled.
  • Ensures flower arrangements look pleasant before delivery.
  • Inspects guest rooms and other areas with attention to detail.
  • Performs daily physical inspections of rooms at 1300 hours.
  • Ensures maid trolleys are parked properly.
  • Monitors key issue procedures for entering/leaving guest rooms.
  • Responsible for cleanliness, maintenance, and hygiene of guest rooms and corridors.
  • Oversees the work of PA attendants.
  • Handles guest service matters in the station.
  • Supervises Room Attendants' activities.
  • Checks all check-out and guest rooms.
  • Maintains awareness of daily hotel activities and product knowledge.
  • Ensures proper grooming at all times.
  • Shows cooperation and respect within the team and other departments.
  • Participates actively in daily activities and knowledge of hotel facilities.

Qualifications

University Degree in any field, minimum 2 years in a similar role within a five-star hotel. Additional diploma or degree in vocational hospitality, with 8–10 years experience in 4-5 star hotels.

Coordinate with Front Office and Engineering for smooth daily operations.

Good communication and team leadership skills.

Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
