ROLE OVERVIEW

The Secondary Biology Teacher will collaborate within a faculty team to review, develop and deliver a curriculum consistent with the IB MYP/DP frameworks and the MYP/DP Science Subject Guides and will create and deliver units of inquiry relating to the various Science subjects. This position supports and implements the learning program in accordance with the guidelines and philosophy of NEOM EC-12 under the supervision and direction of the Programme Coordinator(s) and the Head of School.

REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY

Teaching Experience

  • Proven experience as a Science teacher, preferably within an IB MYP and DP framework, specializing in IBDP Biology

Scientific Knowledge

  • In-depth understanding of various scientific disciplines, research methodologies, and practical applications.

  • Run validation tests with customers to ensure they fully understand how to use the equipment/product.
  • Solve any issues they might face while using the equipment/product.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory or related science.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as applicable. Preferred experience as a lab technician in Molecular Biology or in Lab sales.
  • Additional Details: Candidate should be based in Jeddah. Should have a valid KSA driving license and be willing to travel as per business needs.

Job Brief

The incumbent will be accountable to promote products and services to customers, discover and pursue new sales prospects, negotiate contracts, and maintain customer satisfaction with the aim of maximizing profits.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Adhere to all Zahrawi Policies & Procedures as applicable.

Market Knowledge:

  • Conduct market research to identify new potential customers.
  • Analyze market trends to identify new products in the market and understand their advantages and disadvantages.
  • Identify product improvements and new products to evaluate their position in the industry.
  • Plan and assist with new product releases and events.

  • Attend customer calls regarding supply and inform sales team.
  • Coordinate conferences and materials.
  • Conduct workshops and provide application training.
  • Complete validation processes for every product in MBU.
  • Assist customers with the equipment they are using.
  • Run validation tests with customers to ensure they fully understand how to use the equipment.
  • Solve any issues customers might face while using the equipment.
  • Support the sales team in handling projects in terms of specifications and technical comparison discussions with end users.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to gather competitive intelligence and provide scientific arguments.
  • Assist sales teams during technical discussions.
  • Prepare training certificates for customer training attendees.
Service Team Coordination:
  • Coordinate with service engineers for installation, preventive maintenance, and rectifications, and plan training accordingly.
Communication with Principal Companies:
  • Communicate with principals on technical information.
  • Address customer queries that cannot be resolved internally.
  • Stay updated with the latest training schedules and materials.
  • Attend all relevant webinars conducted by principals.
  • Transfer new technical information from principal companies to all concerned parties, especially regarding software updates or instrument incompatibilities.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory/ Biotechnology or related science.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a Molecular Biology lab. Experience related to RT-PCR Workflow and Techniques, Electrophoresis & Blotting including imaging, NGS Workflow & Techniques, NGS QC Workflow, DNA/RNA Extraction, Sanger Sequencing Workflow, and Digital PCR Workflow is an added value.
  • Job Specific Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, good English, and good presentation skills.
  • Additional Details: Candidate should be a Saudi National based in KSA, Jeddah, with a valid KSA driving license. Willingness to travel as per business needs covering KSA regions.
