Responsibilities:

  1. Develop detailed drawings and plans for infrastructure projects using AutoCAD, adhering to project requirements and specifications.
  2. Work closely with engineers and project managers to translate conceptual designs into accurate technical drawings.
  3. Create and modify drawings for infrastructure components such as roadways, drainage systems, pipelines, bridges, and other utilities.
  4. Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and project requirements in all drafting activities.
  5. Collaborate on multiple projects within a PMC environment, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to align project goals and timelines.
  6. Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, architects, and clients to ensure final deliverables meet all specifications.
  7. Maintain organized records of drawings and revisions, following proper documentation procedures.
  8. Perform quality checks on drawings and identify any errors or inconsistencies to ensure accuracy.
  9. Conduct occasional site visits to verify drawing accuracy, collect on-site data, and understand real-world constraints that affect design.
  10. Ensure that all drawings conform to PMC and client standards, including layer management, dimensioning, and line weights, to maintain a consistent and professional standard across all projects.
  11. Develop 3D models for infrastructure components, such as roadways, utility corridors, and structures, using Civil 3D or other compatible software to assist in project visualization and coordination.
  12. Conduct detailed checks to ensure all drawings meet quality standards and are free of errors, using quality control processes to minimize revisions and improve accuracy.
  13. Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that the drawings reflect all necessary details for procurement, fabrication, and installation.
  14. Assist engineers in calculating material quantities and other key measurements based on drawings to support cost estimation and project planning.
  15. Organize and maintain a well-structured digital library of drawings and project documents to ensure easy retrieval and reference throughout the project lifecycle.
  16. Maintain a systematic approach to tracking and documenting all drawing revisions, ensuring project stakeholders are aware of any updates or changes.
  17. Review and incorporate “redline” comments from engineers and supervisors, making updates to drawings quickly to reflect any design changes or field modifications.
  18. Collaborate with other disciplines (e.g., structural, electrical, and mechanical) to ensure accurate integration of all infrastructure elements within the drawing set.
  19. Prepare utility mapping and relocation plans to prevent clashes and conflicts in coordination with other infrastructure projects.
  20. Prepare and finalize as-built drawings based on final construction details and specifications for project handover and future reference.
  21. Assist in the development of drafting and design standards for the PMC, ensuring a streamlined and standardized approach to all drafting practices.
  22. Use project management software (like Primavera, MS Project, or other PMC tools) to update drawing schedules, submission timelines, and any dependencies in the project.
  23. Ensure that all designs consider safety and environmental impact as per PMC policies and local regulations, incorporating sustainable design practices when possible.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting for infrastructure projects.
  2. Experience working on PMC (Project Management Consultancy) projects is highly desirable.
  3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software, with strong knowledge of infrastructure components.
  4. Excellent attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of drawings.
  5. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  6. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to infrastructure and civil engineering projects.

Your Impact

  • This discipline supports all engineering and architectural disciplines with detailed drawing support. You will create architectural, electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil design drawings using AutoCAD and be knowledgeable in engineering tables, plans, and specifications.
  • This discipline will be responsible for providing designs, preparing drawings, statements of work, AF Form 66 submittal registers, and project cost estimates for their respective discipline.
  • This discipline shall accomplish surveys and translate collected GPS data into AutoCAD drawings, AutoCAD Civil 3D 2020 for each survey or project.
  • This discipline shall ensure that GIS data is available to initial design projects and confirms GIS data for projects entering final design.
  • This discipline shall be responsible for accurately accounting and validating airfield obstructions annually.
  • This discipline attends meetings as required for projects or investigative/project development tasking.
  • This discipline will provide technical advice, backed up by professional engineering judgment and calculations, for work proposed on work requests by other base agencies. Technical advice may require analysis of designs from other agencies, developing engineering design drawings, developing bills of materials, or providing advice on sequence of activities for work to be executed by military labor.
  • In addition, this discipline may be required to travel to areas in the local area outside of the military installation to verify design requirements and quality of work being performed on jobs/projects.
  • This discipline will be responsible for writing documents as needs are identified by the Government
  • This discipline will follow all VGS standard policies and practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date
  • Must maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date. Passport must have a minimum of 6 blank pages prior to OCONUS mobilization.
  • Must satisfy the pre-deployment medical requirements for CENTCOM prior to OCONUS mobilization and must be able to maintain a Medically Qualified (MQ) rating on an annual basis.
  • Must be CAC eligible and able to gain and maintain authorized entry onto US military installations.

Overview – Role

The CAD Designer/Drafter will be responsible for performing professional-level CAD services such as drafting of drawings in AutoCAD and amending Revit models, assessing and augmenting drawing sets against basic building code requirements. In this role you will be primarily augmenting various types of schematics and architectural drawings overlaying fire safety related information such as fire resistance rating of walls, floors, doors, exit sign locations, occupancy load calculations, separation of exits and similar, under the guidance and supervision of lead consultants and designers. The ideal candidate would have strong technical skills to produce detailed drawings and layouts for fire protection systems, including fire sprinklers, and special hazard suppression systems. The ideal candidate will have experience using AutoCAD and Revit and an understanding of relevant fire protection codes and standards

This role will be based in Khobar, KSA and will be responsible for supporting projects across India and Overseas

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform professional-level CAD engineering services such as augmenting drawing sets in AutoCAD and furnishing Revit models with life safety (and security) design information under the direction of an experienced consultant
  • Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for fire suppression (firewater pump, firewater network, sprinkler system (wet, dry, pre-action), spray system, foam system, clean agent, kitchen hood system, etc.)
  • Create layout drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built documentation
  • Interpret design specifications and ensure drawings comply with NFPA standards and local codes
  • Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to coordinate system layouts.
  • Modify and update drawings based on redlines, markups, and field conditions
  • Organize and maintain CAD drawing files and documentation
  • Assist in creating material take-offs and equipment schedules based on system drawings
  • Submit progress reports to Project Managers and Project Leaders for a range of projects with which CAD Drafting resources are required
  • Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and technicians and will prepare multiple versions for review by both internal and external project stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate with project team members, clients, and others
  • Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, drawings, or regulations under direction from the lead engineers and consultants for both life safety and security design
  • Participate in internal design reviews and provide input to improve design accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure deadlines and quality standards are met on all assigned projects

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Diploma from a reputable academic organization in an engineering field (or an appropriate design specific degree) with at least 10 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable academic organization or higher in an engineering field (or an appropriate design specific bachelor’s degree) with at least 5 years of experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience using AutoCAD, Revit (specifically fire protection plugins) and BIM platforms
  • Familiarity with NFPA codes, particularly NFPA 13, 14, 20, and 72, as well as national codes and standards such as the National Building Code, Fire Codes, and local standards like TAC, OISD, etc.
  • A good level of understanding of fire protection systems, components, and their working philosophy.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings
  • Be able to demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills to write reports, business correspondence, presentations, procedure manuals, and to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and other stakeholders when prompted by the internal team

**Overview - Role**
The **CAD Designer/Drafter** will be responsible for performing professional-level CAD services such as drafting of drawings in AutoCAD and amending Revit models, assessing and augmenting drawing sets against basic building code requirements. In this role you will be primarily augmenting various types of schematics and architectural drawings overlaying fire safety related information such as fire resistance rating of walls, floors, doors, exit sign locations, occupancy load calculations, separation of exits and similar, under the guidance and supervision of lead consultants and designers. The ideal candidate would have strong technical skills to produce detailed drawings and layouts for fire protection systems, including fire sprinklers, and special hazard suppression systems. The ideal candidate will have experience using AutoCAD and Revit and an understanding of relevant fire protection codes and standards
This role will be based in Khobar, KSA and will be responsible for supporting projects across India and Overseas

A verifiable and demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles or construction technology & practices would be the key requirement for this role.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Perform professional-level CAD engineering services such as augmenting drawing sets in AutoCAD and furnishing Revit models with life safety (and security) design information under the direction of an experienced consultant
+ Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for fire suppression (firewater pump, firewater network, sprinkler system (wet, dry, pre-action), spray system, foam system, clean agent, kitchen hood system, etc.)
+ Create layout drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built documentation
+ Interpret design specifications and ensure drawings comply with NFPA standards and local codes
+ Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to coordinate system layouts.
+ Modify and update drawings based on redlines, markups, and field conditions
+ Organize and maintain CAD drawing files and documentation
+ Assist in creating material take-offs and equipment schedules based on system drawings
+ Submit progress reports to Project Managers and Project Leaders for a range of projects with which CAD Drafting resources are required
+ Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and technicians and will prepare multiple versions for review by both internal and external project stakeholders
+ Effectively communicate with project team members, clients, and others
+ Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, drawings, or regulations under direction from the lead engineers and consultants for both life safety and security design
+ Participate in internal design reviews and provide input to improve design accuracy and efficiency.
+ Ensure deadlines and quality standards are met on all assigned projects
**Requirements and Qualifications**
+ Diploma from a reputable academic organization in an engineering field (or an appropriate design specific degree) with at least 10 years of experience
+ Bachelor's degree from a reputable academic organization or higher in an engineering field (or an appropriate design specific bachelor's degree) with at least 5 years of experience
+ Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience using AutoCAD, Revit (specifically fire protection plugins) and BIM platforms
+ Familiarity with NFPA codes, particularly NFPA 13, 14, 20, and 72, as well as national codes and standards such as the National Building Code, Fire Codes, and local standards like TAC, OISD, etc.
+ A good level of understanding of fire protection systems, components, and their working philosophy.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings
+ Be able to demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills to write reports, business correspondence, presentations, procedure manuals, and to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and other stakeholders when prompted by the internal team
+ Has the ability to work independently and as part of a team, enjoying professional challenges and desire to be an integral part of the long-term growth of Jensen Hughes
+ Being a responsible self-starter with problem solving and reasoning skills, possessing intermediate to high-level personal computer skills, including electronic mail, using software to file communication, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. and able to handle a workload with multiple projects simultaneously

**Responsibilities**:
**Drafting and Design**:

- Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D software to create accurate and detailed civil engineering drawings, including plans, sections, and details.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Ensure that all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.

**Data Management**:

- Manage and organize CAD files, ensuring proper version control and file naming conventions.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive database of drawings and design files.

**Collaboration**:

- Work closely with engineering teams to incorporate design changes and updates into drawings.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders, including surveyors and architects, to integrate their input into the overall project design.

**Quality Assurance**:

- Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project standards.
