Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented CAD Manager to join our team! The CAD Manager position requires the provision of expert CAD support within a multidisciplinary engineering and urban planning environment specifically in design and drafting support in preparing maps, miscellaneous plans, subdivision plans and other outputs for the Master Plan process. Application of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and related programs in preparing materials used in studies, subdivision plans, and miscellaneous plans.
Organizational Relationship:
Reports to the SAPL Urban Planning Department Manager and Royal Commission Section Manager and supports the Senior and Principle level Urban Designer/Planners, Transportation Planner, and Survey Section. Also interfaces with other Urban Planning Department staff
What You'll Be Doing:
Plan, organize and manage CAD project’s activities and operations and provide direction and guidance to the CAD team to ensure operational and technical excellence
Develop, implement and enforce CAD standards, provide production and CAD technical support
Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions and provide training as needed and supervision of in-house CAD users
Maintain written technology evaluations for future software adoption and Interact on project standards coordination with clients
Design and prepare maps to display information furnished by urban planning staff
Integrate mapped information from different sources and understand software related to CAD such as database applications
Prepare design drawings for urban planning purposes including site plans, perspective drawings, cross-sections and subdivision layouts
Develop accurate subdivision plans from conceptual layouts prepared by Urban Planning Team
Compile information provided by urban planning staff into presentation drawings, including illustrative report graphics and large-scale plans
Organize and manage of plan project maps and plan files
Other duties as assigned to support the Planning Team and project and conduct project related model reviews
Maintain CAD document archive and retrieval for projects
Manage projects activities and operations and provide direction and guidance to the CAD team to ensure operational and technical excellence
Support Management and all applicable teams to ensure the quality of what is being designed with the Masterplan
Perform QA/QC for compliance with the standards of the Master Plan
Manage the data coming in and out of Urban Planning such as Issue for Construction and As-built drawings so it aligns with the Masterplan drawings, i.e. Roads, Utilities, Corridors, Easements, Coordinates, etc.
Support Planning and Transportation teams with any incoming memos that pertain to any technical needs according to the Masterplan
Coordinate with survey team for survey sketches and GIS team for Premise Boundary Coordinate Diagrams (PBCD) and site plans
Coordinate with GIS section on a database level to ensure all data is up to date and correct
Manage the folder structure in Urban Planning to provide an organized source of information
Manage a database of information from Construction Department to update the Masterplan
Troubleshoot all discrepancies from other departments design packages to ensure a QA/QC is being met per the Masterplan document
Coordinate with other departments for any reviews of As-Built plans to ensure accurate updates to the MasterPlan
Attend meetings, workshops, etc with all other departments, including A&E’s, as needed to ensure the Masterplan criteria and standards are being followed
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor Degree of Urban Planning, Engineering or other relative field with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in providing computer-aided drafting support in the production of maps, plans, subdivision layouts, road layouts, and other graphic aids for Urban Design purposes.
A minimum of (5) years using AutoCAD and Civil 3D with a background knowledge of land planning, survey, GIS, and other related fields.
Direct experience in preparing maps, schematic drawings, preliminary plans, and subdivision layouts.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Proficiency in delineating subdivision layouts based on conceptual plans prepared by Plan Team.
Basic mathematical and analytical skills and ability to organize and display data in presentation formats, including reduced-sized figures for reports and full-scale drawings for display.

The Design Management Director in The LINE Design team will lead and manage the design of different assets related to The LINE. The Director of Design will lead a design team with respective plans, schedules, and will organize and coordinate the design work is executed on projects of all scales. The Design Management Director for THE LINE Design team will oversee the creation of neighborhood master plans and architectural designs for THE LINE. This role involves leading a team of Design Consultants, ensuring that the technical aspects of the design work is executed according to Design Briefs and Requirements, Development Control Regulations and KPIs, and in compliance with the NEOM THE LINE Plan of Work procedures. The Design Management Director will be responsible for the management of a module, comprised of eight neighborhoods, and encompassing approximately 4,000,000 m² of assets.
Time will be allocated 80% on Neighborhoods designs, and 20% on NEOM Business responsibilities.
Requirements

- Design experience in various architectural types residential, mix use, commercial, public, healthcare, educational, etc.
- Experience and extensive knowledge on design and construction materials and their application
- Design experience of public realm design and application
- Extensive project experience with emphasis on large projects and programs
- Experience in Middle East is appreciated
- B.Arch or B.Sc. in Architecture from a recognized university

The project:
This is an opportunity to work on a large luxury mixed-use development in Riyadh / Umluj, KSA.Mace are providing project management consultancy services.
You’ll be responsible for:
Act as the day-to-day operational manager for a design management team of up to 12 people or other design management resource deployed to projects.
Leading the delivery of design management to deliver key strategic outcomes & sub-function KPIs, directly influencing strategic development.
Main point of contact for client design issues, ensuring relationships are managed and maintained.
Main point of contact for design consultant issues, ensuring relationships are managed and maintained and production meets the required schedule for procurement to happen in alignment with the master schedule and budget.
Contributes and inputs into strategy development, develops plans and oversees the delivery and manages the achievement of plan to time and budget.
Assesses and defines project strategic design management delivery.
Implements and approve consultant appointments across all work streams when contractually required.
Oversees and signs off on consultant progress payments.
Builds and leads project design team (internal/external) to ensure correct resource is allocated and project deliverables are clear.
Partners with multiple internal and external stakeholders, working in collaboration to (implement strategy/programmes/initiatives).
Manages, influences & negotiates with key senior stakeholders.
Oversees the design team in their reviews of the consultant design submissions at the various design submission points.
Supports the commercial team with the delivery scope of works / design packs for procurement activities.
Provides the client bodies with regular design progress reports
Assesses the level of resources / input requirements for design consultant claims and supports the client and Mace commercial team in defending the consultant claims.
Actively works to reduce / avoid consultant claim entitlement.
Delivers continuous improvements in processes through application of best practices and lessons learned. Drives transformational change.
Responsible for ensuring the identification, development, and delivery of relevant training.
Ensures management systems are followed during project lifecycle roles and responsibilities are adhered by.
Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll need to have:
Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high valued projects/ programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
Relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
Member of a relevant professional body.
