Minimum Requirements:

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Under direct supervision, prepares drawings and tracings using command and data entry methods applicable to CAD system in use.
- Update Base Comprehensive Plans (BCP) and maintains record drawings.
- Plot and reproduce drawings.
- Operates plotters and similar output devices to generate copies of drawing files.
- May perform design preparation tasks such as PC board path layout and configuration, internal/external packaging, panel control layouts, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
**MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED**:
- May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions that require wear of hard hats, gloves, steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses and other personal protection equipment (PPE); may be required to push, pull and lift heavy equipment.
- Use of Land Mobile Radios, cell phones, laptop, and other devices to maintain contact and accountability of work activities.
**WORKING ENVIRONMENT**:
- Work will be indoors and outdoors.

Your Impact
- This discipline supports all engineering and architectural disciplines with detailed drawing support. You will create architectural, electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil design drawings using AutoCAD and be knowledgeable in engineering tables, plans, and specifications.
- This discipline will be responsible for providing designs, preparing drawings, statements of work, AF Form 66 submittal registers, and project cost estimates for their respective discipline.
- This discipline shall accomplish surveys and translate collected GPS data into AutoCAD drawings, AutoCAD Civil 3D 2020 for each survey or project.
- This discipline shall ensure that GIS data is available to initial design projects and confirms GIS data for projects entering final design.
- This discipline shall be responsible for accurately accounting and validating airfield obstructions annually.
- This discipline attends meetings as required for projects or investigative/project development tasking.
- This discipline will provide technical advice, backed up by professional engineering judgment and calculations, for work proposed on work requests by other base agencies. Technical advice may require analysis of designs from other agencies, developing engineering design drawings, developing bills of materials, or providing advice on sequence of activities for work to be executed by military labor.
- In addition, this discipline may be required to travel to areas in the local area outside of the military installation to verify design requirements and quality of work being performed on jobs/projects.
- This discipline will be responsible for writing documents as needs are identified by the Government
- This discipline will follow all VGS standard policies and practices.
Required Qualifications
- Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date
- Must maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date. Passport must have a minimum of 6 blank pages prior to OCONUS mobilization.
- Must satisfy the pre-deployment medical requirements for CENTCOM prior to OCONUS mobilization and must be able to maintain a Medically Qualified (MQ) rating on an annual basis.
- Must be CAC eligible and able to gain and maintain authorized entry onto US military installations.
