JOB TITLE

ROLE SUMMARY

The Interior Designer will be responsible for providing design services to help customers choose materials and furnishings and ensuring that budget, schedule and client expectations are met from time of project inception to owner occupancy

ROLE PROFILE

• Determine the client’s goals and requirements of the project
• Prepare final plans, using computer applications
• Place orders for materials and oversee installing the design elements
• Responsible for cultivating and marketing to new clients and maintaining existing client relationships
• Ensure awareness and understanding of product range knowledge, sharing the information with customers to encourage sales.
• Consistently achieve or exceed individual sales goals, while enhancing and developing the business.
• Set costs and project fees according to budget
• Specify materials and furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing fixtures

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in interior design or similar.
• 2-3 years of experience in similar field
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs
• Communication and presentation skills

Role Summary:

We are looking for a creative and customer-focused Interior Designer to join our Luxury Furniture retail store located in Red Sea Mall, Jeddah . This is a Saudization role with a strong client-facing and sales element , where you'll play an integral part in designing elegant home spaces, while also guiding customers through their purchasing journey.

The position follows a rotational shift schedule aligned with mall working hours , and involves daily interaction with clients , helping them select furniture and décor to bring their vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand client needs and translate their vision into inspiring, functional interior design solutions.
• Prepare detailed plans and 3D renderings using software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or 3ds Max.
• Recommend and specify materials, furniture, lighting, finishes, and fixtures based on project requirements and brand standards.
• Guide customers through the showroom experience, offering expert advice on design options and products to support purchasing decisions.
• Collaborate closely with the sales and operations team to ensure timely order placements and smooth project execution.
• Maintain strong client relationships and support new business development through exceptional service.
• Meet or exceed individual sales and customer satisfaction targets.
• Ensure showroom visual standards and design integrity are consistently upheld.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of experience in interior design, ideally within luxury retail or home furniture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Illustrator, etc.).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Client-centric mindset with a flair for sales and design.
• Willingness to work in a mall-based retail environment with a rotational shift schedule .

Overview

The Interior Designer is responsible for developing functional, aesthetically compelling interior spaces based on client needs and design standards. This includes concept development, space planning, FF&E selection, 2D/3D visualization, client presentations, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

• Create mood boards and concept presentations based on project style and client preferences
• Conduct effective space planning for both functionality and aesthetics

• Produce 2D/3D visuals using SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite
• Prepare layout sheets, item files, and confirmation boards

• Source furniture, finishes, fabrics, and accessories aligned with design direction
• Prepare and update BOQs and order sheets with accurate specifications

• Attend meetings and present design concepts professionally
• Incorporate client feedback efficiently and ensure design alignment

• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and site teams for delivery and installation
• Conduct site visits and supervise implementation to ensure design integrity
• Prepare and distribute installation documentation

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience, ideally in luxury residential or commercial design
• Portfolio showcasing mood boards, 2D/3D layouts, and completed projects

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop/InDesign, MS Office (3Ds Max is a plus)
• Strong aesthetic sense of materials, layout, and furniture selection
