The Deanship of CORE Curriculum offers a broad range of core academic courses that are available to meet the specific needs of individual degree programs. All students are required to successfully complete courses in each of three College CORE fields: natural and physical sciences, mathematics, and social and behavioral sciences.

The CORE Curriculum is a set of humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, mathematics and Assessment Capstone competencies that help our students develop and grow as lifelong learners. The ultimate goal of the Core Curriculum Program is to empower our students with the rational thinking that enables them to consider what it is like to act and think as researchers, historians, businessmen, chemists, physicists, mathematicians and economists.

The Deanship of CORE Curriculum is committed to working towards achieving the goals articulated in Saudi Vision 2030. Our students expect to be globally competent and empowered with the communication, technological and critical thinking skills that the job market needs. Therefore, integral to the CORE Curriculum are the global competencies that today's business sector requires. The CORE Curriculum, with its two departments centralizes six defining competencies which are integral to its courses: Communication, Technology, Critical Thinking, Professional Development, Teamwork and Leadership.

General Description

The Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of CORE Curriculum Program at PMU invites applications for full-time faculty members to teach in the Fall and Spring semesters; Summer semester teaching opportunities might be available. A Doctorate of Physics with two years of teaching experience at college level is preferred.

Qualifications & Experience (Required)

A PhD candidate from Western Universities with at least 30-semester hours beyond master and bachelor's degree is required. Candidate must have the ability to demonstrate and instruct in English. Candidate must have the ability to teach at the university level.

The Department offers lower level courses such as Introductory Physics, Physics for Engineers I and II.

In addition to teaching, selected faculty will be involved in academic advising, curriculum development, preparing course syllabi, planning in-class team activities, constructing student assessments, preparing examinations, keeping grade records, holding regular office hours and other standard, non-teaching duties such as institutional and professional services. Candidates must provide a procedural letter of promotion to the rank of associate and full professor.

  • Maintain an appropriate scholarly or professional development activity and to keep up to date with developments in the field as necessary to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Participate in the comprehensive advisement of students majoring in the College.

General Description

The College of Business Administration at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University (PMU) is seeking applications to fill a position in Management Information Systems at the rank of Assistant/ Associate/ or Full Professor. Candidates are expected to teach a wide variety of basic and advanced courses in their discipline. Full-time faculty members are also expected to attend faculty meetings and university events, serve on committees, and engage in academic scholarship and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Experience (Required)

Applicants with research interests and experience in one or more of the following areas are especially encouraged to apply:

  • Minimum of 2-years teaching experience in Business Analytics and post-graduation in Analytics, Python, Power BI, Tableau, Business Intelligence, MySQL and Machine learning including advanced excel.
  • Experience in using management applications/ tools, simulation techniques and innovative teaching methods like flipped classroom.
  • Be able to deliver "microcredentials" in analytics.
  • Active researcher in Analytics.
  • Ph.D. holders from AACSB Accredited universities will be preferred.
  • Excellent research record.

Candidates must have earned a doctorate degree in Business Analytics or a closely related field from an accredited Western residential university. The ideal candidate also exhibits the following characteristics;

  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • A minimum of three years of demonstrated teaching excellence in programs in which English is used as the language of instruction.
  • An active research record as evidenced by publications in refereed journals and at conferences.
  • A strong willingness to become engaged in service to the university and the community, and to participate in department, college, and university initiatives, especially as they relate to accreditation.

The position holder is expected to teach a broad range of general and skills-based business administration courses at the undergraduate; male faculty members may also request – or be required to – teach courses at the graduate level. Full-time faculty members are also expected to attend faculty meetings and university events, serve on committees, and engage in academic scholarship and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Experience (Required)

Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Advertising and Media or relevant subject from a preferable AACSB accredited university

Other requirements;

  • Be academically prepared and professionally qualified to teach advertising, advertising campaign strategies, case studies and all advertising courses at the undergraduate levels.
  • Evidence of sound full-time teaching experience with an appropriate scholarly record at the assistant/associate professor level in higher education.
  • Demonstrate good practical experience of working in the field of advertising industry for at least 5 years. Proficient in advertising new technologies and production programs.
  • High ability to create and design advertisements and familiar with software and programs for tasks like data visualization, print, radio, television and digital advertising.

Remuneration and Benefits

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Professor in Insurance and Risk Management at Al Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University located in Riyadh. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching university courses, conducting research in the field, developing curriculum, and applying knowledge of organizational behavior and marketing principles.

Qualifications

  • Organizational Behavior and University Teaching skills
  • Experience in Curriculum Development and Research
  • Marketing skills
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Previous teaching experience in higher education
