We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The purpose of this role is carrying out mechanical maintenance, repairs and modifications for Tornado on and off aircraft. You may also be required to provide support to RSAF away from TSS.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES- Performs major and minor mechanical maintenance, repairs, modifications and TCTO’s for Tornado on and off aircraft.
- Is responsible for the quality and completeness of the work he carries out, or signs for as having been carried out, on an aircraft or aircraft component in accordance with the approved data.
- Works within the requirements of the TSS Quality Management System, Safety Management System and RSAF Technical Orders.
- Completes Maintenance paperwork forms, appropriate aircraft forms, records and maintenance documentation both hard and electronic copies.
- Ensures maximum effort is made to safeguard the TSS programme timescales in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Highlights to their immediate supervisor areas of inexperience or training requirements, for themselves and others.
- Provides on-the-job and theory training for trainees.
- Deputises, if required, for the aircraft supervisor.
- Have extensive proven experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR substantial proven experience on Tornado aircraft OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/TSNTTP)
- Current authorisations for aircraft maintenance.
- Completion of Tornado Aircraft maintenance course.
- Working knowledge of Q-pulse, GOLD and an understanding of M&CA processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Hold a current driving licence.
- Have a sound understanding of the RSAF 4-1-7166 series and supporting technical publications applicable to their work area. An understanding of the RSAF Operation and working practices.
- Knowledge of relevant parts of the MOE and procedures.
- Ability to confirm full accomplishment of AGE maintenance tasks.
- Use, control, be familiar with required tooling and equipment.

Hands-on TIG welder for thin-gauge airframe structures on AS332 Super Puma, focused on two work scopes:
- Canopy bayonet nut recess repair/patch and re-installation (bayonet nut ASN-A0069; TIG process on 1.0 mm sheet with surface treatment and paint touch-ups).
- Cockpit door localized crack/weld repair and reinforcement (fabricate/form reinforcing plate; TIG bead or riveted solution; final primer/top-coat).
Key Responsibilities
- Execute thin-sheet TIG welding on airframe aluminum (5xxx-series) per OEM procedures.
- Fabricate/form reinforcement plates, drill/deburr to drawing, and fit per work card.
- Perform TIG Category A welds on canopy patch; level weld bead and restore surface treatments (chemical conversion, primer, paint).
- Where specified, apply PR compound and rivet patterns as an alternative to continuous welds.
- Finalise surface protection (epoxy primer/top-coat) and complete re-installation activities.
- Document work, trace materials (e.g., 5086 H111 sheet 1 mm; TIG rod/consumables), and sign off in Part-145 environment.
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years TIG welding on thin-gauge aircraft structures; strong hand skills on small, heat-sensitive parts.
- Proven Super Puma (AS332) or comparable rotorcraft structural experience.
- Ability to read/execute AH work cards and dimensional callouts; precise drilling and fit-up.
- Understanding of pre-/post-weld surface treatments (conversion, primer, top-coat) per OEM.
Additional Information
- OEM/AH welding approvals; coded TIG for aerospace aluminum.
- Familiarity with door/canopy mechanisms and tolerances.
- Experience with riveted alternatives and sealants (PR).
