  • Continuous monitoring of actual costs.
  • Prepare the detailed planning of the project’s budget.
  • Ensure department managers meet budget submission deadlines
  • Analyse financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditures and cash management) to ensure all operations are within budget
  • Co-ordinate with Projects cost controller / Project manager / Director
  • Forecasting future expenditures.
  • Examining discrepancies in expenditures
  • Optimizing as necessary to avoid budget overruns.
  • Maintenance of the allocation system (cost center - allocation methodology – cost category)
  • Performing the month end close closing activity and checklist.
  • Preparation of the project performance reports

**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Cost Control Engineer** to join our team!
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Contribute to creating and implementing best practices, cost estimating vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
+ Make accurate project cost estimates (from Class 5 to Class 1 estimate levels).
+ Support continuous improvement through cost engineering techniques and processes, identifying inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.
+ Analyze and identify key areas of improvement and apply cost estimation techniques to drive cost reductions and aid operational processes and efficiency.
+ Review, analyze, and understand economic trends and consider risks and cost implications.
+ Utilize cost methodologies, tools, and appropriate software models and packages to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data.
+ Ensure professional and consistent cost engineering management processes are applied in the business.
+ Oversees cost benchmarking exercises, development and maintenance of a database of all consultants, vendors, contractors, and sub-contractors' rates (with contracts, quotations, and bids);
+ Ensure appropriate monitoring, reporting systems, and procedures are in place to meet objectives.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's in quantity surveying, engineering or cost engineering from an accredited university.
+ Minimum 15 years' experience in Cost Control / Estimating on large projects.
+ Preferably certified in CEP or MCIOB or MCIArab.
+ Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio & Databases).
+ Excellent Arabic / English verbal and written communication skills
+ Experience of working internationally (preference for KSA).
