Responsibilities- Administrating and Operating Network Security Devices
- Maintain expert knowledge of security technologies, leading the delivery of process and system improvements, driving implementation of continuous improvement plans and ensuring best practices are shared across the team.
- Continuous identification, enhancement and improvement of un-utilized features in current security solution to maximum value
- Design and architect of security solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Problem-solving skills for quickly uncovering and fixing network and security flaws

- Identify gaps and opportunities as part of continuous improvement to ensure high standards of security and performance.
- Lead a team of network security engineers
- At least 6+ years of Security experience in the following technologies/fields
- Next Generation Firewall experience (like Cisco FTD, Palo Alto) Intrusion protection/detection systems
- Web Application Firewall, Load Balancer (e.g. F5 LTM)
- Cisco ISE, Proxy solution and e-mail gateway
- Packet capture and analysis methodologies
- Preference would be given to candidates with certifications like CISSP, CCIE-Sec, F5, SANS
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities
This position is a technical role to lead the delivery of network solutions, providing post-sales support for delivery, Solution Engineering services like Solution Design, Solution Acceptance, Remote Deployment support and Network Reconfiguration/Migration.
Will interface with the following functional groups on a day-to-day basis: Systems Engineers (SE), Service Project Managers (SPM), Technical Support, Field Service Engineers and Customer Service Advocate.
General Activities
- Support service partners engineers during project deployment
- Review the Technical Deployment Package details with both Internal and External Resources to ensure that they are understood by all members of the Deployment Team
- Serve as an escalation point for issues/problems related to the Technical Deployment Package contents. Work with the Pre-Sales, Customer, and Internal Ciena Groups to resolve any design or product related issues and translate resolutions to the field
- Responsible for archiving the As-Built Documentation Sets for future network upgrade support
Collaboration with stakeholders
- Participate in Customer kick-off calls and provide support to the Deployment Project Managers
- Provide technical guidance to the Presales Engineers to ensure that the Network Design meets both Customer and Serviceability requirements
Areas of impact (Basic theoretical and/or practical knowledge/expertise required)
- Layer 0/1 Ciena or other vendor product knowledge, and/or
- Layer 2-3 knowledge, and/or
- Scripting/DevOps skills (e.g., Python, JAVA, Ansible, etc.)
Experience
- B.S. Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field of discipline
- Mandatory not more than 3 years of experience in Telecom or IT business.
- Ability to work directly with various cross-functional groups to resolve issues and establish best practices
- Good Customer Service interaction skills
- Excellent English language written and verbal communications skills
- Expert knowledge of MS Office applications (Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to handle travel (approx. 25%)
- Ability to work at night on maintenance windows (25%)
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to review and analyze project information quickly and accurately
- Ability to take a conceptual design and develop a process to make it a reality

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES & FUNCTIONS
The role holder shall be based in the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and shall perform level 3 Technical support activities in support of the three regional centers (RCCs). The role holder will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the network and providing the highest quality of services in accordance with contractual requirements within the scope of services. - Responsible for providing Level 3 Technical Support for Motorola Dimetra Secure Mobile Radio (SMR) TETRA to the regional control centers (RCC) in order to maintain the integrity of the network.
- Take lead role in supervision of RCC staff and FT's during major network incidents or investigations.
- Implementations of company processes and procedures.
- Carry out in-depth root cause analysis investigations for all SMR Major Services Outages (MSO) & network incidents.
- Submit technical reports pertaining to major network incidents or investigations.
- Deploy Kingdom-wide whenever instructed by Central Management to assist on major network incidents or projects.
- Carry out level 2 multi-skilled on-the-job training (OJT) whenever required, for managed services field technicians.
Job Specification
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION (Knowledge & Experience)
- Preference given if educated to either:
- BSc/BEng with at least 3 years experience in multi-disciplined telecommunications environments or
- HND/HNC, with at least 5 years experience in multi-disciplined telecommunications environments or
- OEM training to advanced level, with at least 5 years experience in multi-disciplined telecommunications environments.
- Must be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of the following disciplines:
- Motorola Dimetra IP 5.2 Secure Mobile Radio SMR system
- Motorola Dimetra IP 4 Secure Mobile Radio SMR System
- Must have at least 3 years working experience on TETRA Trunking systems, preferably Motorola Dimetra IP.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN, preferably CCNA, MCP, and MCSA Certified.
- Must be able to manage UNIX-Solaris and Windows Operating systems.
- Must be IT competent with Microsoft Office programs.
- Must possess good English verbal and writing skills.
- Must have at least 5 years Network Engineering experience.
- Must possess a valid driving license from the country of origin and valid K.S.A license.
- Must be physically fit to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
