Description

gener8tor, a globally recognized startup accelerator, is seeking a Managing Director to lead our gener8tor Saudi Arabia Accelerator in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The gener8tor Saudi Arabia Accelerator supports high-growth startups across all industries and business models. We invest in six startups per cohort and provide up to $200K in funding and 12 weeks of mentorship-driven programming.

Salary: $05,000 - 120,000

Description

gener8tor, a globally recognized startup accelerator, is seeking a Managing Director to lead our gener8tor Saudi Arabia Accelerator in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The gener8tor Saudi Arabia Accelerator supports high-growth startups across all industries and business models. We invest in six startups per cohort and provide up to 200K in funding and 12 weeks of mentorship-driven programming.

As a member of the gener8tor team, you'll be an essential part of our international platform, connecting startup founders, investors, universities, and corporations. Your work will directly impact the regional and global startup ecosystem by supporting diverse founders building innovative businesses with scalable solutions.

Success for a Managing Director looks like building a strong portfolio of high-potential startups, investing in diverse founders, and supporting Riyadh's emergence as a leading hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. You will develop relationships with mentors, investors, entrepreneurs, and community partners while ensuring startups are positioned for long-term success. You will have ownership over the program and report to the Senior Managing Director while collaborating across gener8tor's centralized support teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage logistics and ensure the operational success of all aspects of the gener8tor Saudi Arabia Accelerator.
  • Assist in recruiting startup applicants and support the due diligence and selection process for each cohort.
  • Track metrics and prepare reports for gener8tor and external program partners.
  • Actively participate in all aspects of the accelerator program, including recruitment, team meetings, mentor sessions, investor meetings, workshops, and Riyadh ecosystem events.
  • Collaborate with the broader gener8tor team to develop strategies, assess program strengths, improve processes, and ensure best practices across programs.
  • Support alumni of the Saudi Arabia Accelerator and maintain ongoing relationships.
  • Represent gener8tor in the Riyadh community and across Saudi Arabia, actively participating in the startup ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with other members of the gener8tor team to support national and international programs.
  • Be the #1 cheerleader for the Saudi startup ecosystem.
  • Manage grant requirements, including budget tracking, performance reporting, and ensuring compliance with program requirements.
  • Build relationships with Saudi Arabia's entrepreneurial, corporate, and investment leaders across diverse industries.

Requirements

  • Experience with operations, logistics, program/project management, and grant management is required. Experience supporting an accelerator, incubator, or venture fund is recommended.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter. Experience in venture capital or startup support organizations is beneficial.
  • Broad understanding or strong interest in startup ecosystems, innovation, and entrepreneurship across sectors.
  • Familiarity with the Saudi or broader MENA startup ecosystem.
  • Written and oral fluency in Arabic and English
  • Flexibility to travel up to 25%, work some nights and weekends.
  • Collaborative, team-based mindset. You will work closely with other Managing Directors, Program Managers, founders, external partners, and ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly independent environment and juggle multiple projects and responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling grant reports and presentations.
  • Commitment to equity across race, place, and gender, with the ability to see genius in every community.
