- E2E Project lifecycle: This role will support End-to-End project lifecycle for the above mentioned systems. During pre-execution phase, the PM is expected to lead the design and technology development; understand individual pieces of equipment, their application, benchmark performance and propose innovation. The PM will be focused on meeting the needs of our internal customers to deliver systems which are safe, easily maintainable, ergonomic and reduce manual labor. During execution the PM will act as the main interface point for internal and external stakeholders. This person will be responsible for budget, quality, safety and schedule of the projects. Give accurate updates and risk forecast. Focus on cost-saving while ensuring quality and performance. For this experienced project manager role there is a high level of autonomy to manage the projects E2E and develop versatility. The role will be based in Cairo, with expected travels within the AMET region, up to 50% per year. - End-to-end ownership for large-scale engineering projects (planning, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and qualification, launch support)
- Dive deep on technical details and provide value engineering and innovative solutions to drive frugality and continuous improvements
- Lead technical design reviews and propose design solutions for material handling and storage solutions that meet both business needs and internal standards
- Create, submit and track relevant CAPEX requests to ensure that all projects are delivered within budget and best overall value
- Assess and communicate project status, drive escalations on potential risks and delays across multiple teams
- Own the budget for the scope of the project. Give accurate updates and risk forecast. Gain savings while ensuring quality and performance
- Assist in providing equipment specifications and technical support to Procurement, Change Management
- Collaborate closely with various internal teams such as Construction, Operations, Reliability Maintenance Engineering, Procurement and Change Management
- Responsible for contractor management & teams up to approx 300 people in construction site BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, engineering technology or equivalent, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience with Logistic environment, and/or CAD design and/or Machine maintenance and/or Conveyance systems, and/or Storage systems and/or good lifts system

We are looking for a Data Centre Engineering Operations Technician (EOT). Our EOT's are Amazon’s front line responders for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, stand-by diesel generators, switchboards/switchgears, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems. They provide 24/7 shift coverage which could include 12 hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3, 4, or 5 day work weeks.

Key job responsibilities
- Review the management of both routine and corrective maintenance on a variety of critical systems such as: switch gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses & prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility infrastructure operations & maintenance.
- Help with the design, implementation, commissioning and build out of new facilities.
- Create and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability & reliability.
- Manage the facility assets and the provision of infrastructure & inventory asset management.
- Manage the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed, is observing established practices, procedures & local legislation.
- Work with other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimise plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability and efficiency.·

Engineering Operations Technicians support the data centre building and the critical equipment that keeps it running. This includes diesel power generators, HVAC and fire suppression systems. They’re responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the critical infrastructure, supervising specialist vendors, acting as first responders to incidents, and becoming subject matter experts for the facility.

- Degree or technical certification (Military or Trade school)
- Mechanical/HVAC/Electrical engineering or experience at technician level in a critical environment
- 2+ years of maintenance experience on mechanical or electrical equipment
- Experience operating electrical or mechanical systems in a mission critical environment (i.e. Data Centre, telecom, etc.)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. Min 6-8 years of of Data Center operations and on-call support experience for Data Center facilities. 1 An excellent understanding of the Electrical systems in critical Data Center operations that include but not limited to utility substation feeds, transformers, switchgear, VFI Class UPS, DRUPS, PDUs, ATS, STS, SLA/VRLA batteries and associated systems, diesel/gas turbine generators and related fuel systems, Surge Suppression, Active Harmonic Filtering, battery monitoring systems, branch circuit monitoring systems, SCADA systems. · 2.An excellent understanding of the Mechanical systems in critical Data Center operations include but not limited to CRAC/CRAHs/AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, storage tanks, chemical system, heat exchangers, piping systems, pumps, valves, duct systems, fans, dampers. An excellent understanding of other facilities systems used in Data Centers and Mission critical facilities, including but not limited to fire detection and suppression systems, plumbing and drainage systems, Building Monitoring Systems, automatic control systems. An excellent understanding of design, procurement, suitability of application, testing and commissioning. 3. Certifications/Accreditations that will be viewed positively: PMP; Prince2; ITIL v2/3; BICSI; ASHRAE, CDCP/S/E or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory. As a Support Engineering Director, you’ll anticipate and seek out obstacles before they occur, and implement solutions that allow our engineers to fulfill strategic and tactical business goals. You’ll coach teams to deliver visionary products and programs to deliver the most value for our millions of customers. As a Support Engineering Director, you will.
- Be a technical lead for organization and are regarded as a support leader by peers across the company
- Have a solid understanding of the business as it relates to the team’s supported services
- Lead or participate in company-wide user groups to exchange support information, procedures, and best practices
- Be an expert in system design and configuration and contribute regularly to physical architecture design for the organization, especially for new services
- Be involved in major technical decisions and work with development and QA teams to help increase service supportability, scalability, and performance
- Lead large initiatives that span many services such as efficiency and scaling
- Manage organization-wide outages ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution
- Define aggressive SLAs and drive the team to meet them through metrics creation and analysis
- Conduct cross-team monitor planning and reviews
- Have a strong understanding of the technologies, tools, procedures, resources, and best practices used to improve operational excellence
- Determine best practices for code management, support, code builds, and code deployments
- Participate and may drive operational excellence across teams
- Display the leadership core values in every activity and may lead people or virtual teams

- Expertise in operational excellence, security compliance, and distributed systems’ resiliency
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Expertise in operations of highly available and scalable software systems with large customer bases
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, including long-form business writing on complex topics
- Ability to drive effective teamwork, collaboration and commitment
- Excellent analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to coordinate between technical teams, peers and business stakeholders
- Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies
- Experience managing on-call support coverage, escalation and critical issue management
- Experience in contributing to the definition and implementation of automation opportunities within an operations environment
- Experience in root cause analysis and error correction, identifying changes to procedures and systems to implement long term fixes and avoid repeating issue
