This Engineering Project Management role requires versatile and technical individuals to deliver impactful results within :

- E2E Project lifecycle: This role will support End-to-End project lifecycle for the above mentioned systems. From Solutions to Go-Live, including concept design, budget request, vendor selection, detailed engineering, planning, execution, qualification.

During pre-execution phase, the PM is expected to lead the design and technology development; understand individual pieces of equipment, their application, benchmark performance and propose innovation. The PM will be focused on meeting the needs of our internal customers to deliver systems which are safe, easily maintainable, ergonomic and reduce manual labor.

During execution the PM will act as the main interface point for internal and external stakeholders. This person will be responsible for budget, quality, safety and schedule of the projects. Give accurate updates and risk forecast. Focus on cost-saving while ensuring quality and performance.

For this experienced project manager role there is a high level of autonomy to manage the projects E2E and develop versatility. The role will be based in Cairo, with expected travels within the AMET region, up to 50% per year.

Ability to speak multiple languages including English, German, French, Polish, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications

Key job responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership for large-scale engineering projects (planning, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and qualification, launch support)
- Dive deep on technical details and provide value engineering and innovative solutions to drive frugality and continuous improvements
- Lead technical design reviews and propose design solutions for material handling and storage solutions that meet both business needs and internal standards
- Create, submit and track relevant CAPEX requests to ensure that all projects are delivered within budget and best overall value
- Assess and communicate project status, drive escalations on potential risks and delays across multiple teams
- Own the budget for the scope of the project. Give accurate updates and risk forecast. Gain savings while ensuring quality and performance
- Assist in providing equipment specifications and technical support to Procurement, Change Management
- Collaborate closely with various internal teams such as Construction, Operations, Reliability Maintenance Engineering, Procurement and Change Management
- Responsible for contractor management & teams up to approx 300 people in construction site

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, engineering technology or equivalent, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience with Logistic environment, and/or CAD design and/or Machine maintenance and/or Conveyance systems, and/or Storage systems and/or good lifts system

We are looking for a Data Centre Engineering Operations Technician (EOT). Our EOT's are Amazon’s front line responders for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, stand-by diesel generators, switchboards/switchgears, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems. They provide 24/7 shift coverage which could include 12 hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3, 4, or 5 day work weeks.

Key job responsibilities
- Review the management of both routine and corrective maintenance on a variety of critical systems such as: switch gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses & prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility infrastructure operations & maintenance.
- Help with the design, implementation, commissioning and build out of new facilities.
- Create and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability & reliability.
- Manage the facility assets and the provision of infrastructure & inventory asset management.
- Manage the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed, is observing established practices, procedures & local legislation.
- Work with other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimise plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability and efficiency.·

Engineering Operations Technicians support the data centre building and the critical equipment that keeps it running. This includes diesel power generators, HVAC and fire suppression systems. They’re responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the critical infrastructure, supervising specialist vendors, acting as first responders to incidents, and becoming subject matter experts for the facility.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Degree or technical certification (Military or Trade school)
- Mechanical/HVAC/Electrical engineering or experience at technician level in a critical environment
- 2+ years of maintenance experience on mechanical or electrical equipment
- Experience operating electrical or mechanical systems in a mission critical environment (i.e. Data Centre, telecom, etc.)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to participate in a 24 x 7 rotating shift roster
- 2+ years of operations experience in a data centre or critical environment
- Experience with the development of MOPs & SWMS for planned works
- Familiar with the concepts and interaction of Service Management systems (Problem & Change)
- Business-level verbal and written communication skills
- Proven leadership and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise multiple requests in complex, fast-paced environment

The AppArmor team's first responsibility is to develop security features and capabilities for AppArmor, the security module protecting all Ubuntu users, by providing mandatory access control to confine programs and restrict their access to system resources.Your work will improve the security of millions of people. You will engage directly with our community and customers, as well as coordinating efforts across multiple engineering teams and projects to make this happen.

An Engineering Manager is responsible for line management and career guidance. The ability to develop engineering talent, to represent your team and product from a technical perspective, and to drive collaboration with other teams and customers are all critical to success in this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. Min 6-8 years of of Data Center operations and on-call support experience for Data Center facilities. OR Min 2-3 years to in managing infrastructure of Data Center with an exposure in power generation / panel based industry. ( Capable to handle the resolution of issues till circuit level.). 2. A graduate degree in a technical field (Electrical Engg, Mech Engg, Industrial Engg) OR a diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering with a min. 4 years automation experience for the preferred generation / panel based industry.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1 An excellent understanding of the Electrical systems in critical Data Center operations that include but not limited to utility substation feeds, transformers, switchgear, VFI Class UPS, DRUPS, PDUs, ATS, STS, SLA/VRLA batteries and associated systems, diesel/gas turbine generators and related fuel systems, Surge Suppression, Active Harmonic Filtering, battery monitoring systems, branch circuit monitoring systems, SCADA systems. · 2.An excellent understanding of the Mechanical systems in critical Data Center operations include but not limited to CRAC/CRAHs/AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, storage tanks, chemical system, heat exchangers, piping systems, pumps, valves, duct systems, fans, dampers. An excellent understanding of other facilities systems used in Data Centers and Mission critical facilities, including but not limited to fire detection and suppression systems, plumbing and drainage systems, Building Monitoring Systems, automatic control systems. An excellent understanding of design, procurement, suitability of application, testing and commissioning. 3. Certifications/Accreditations that will be viewed positively: PMP; Prince2; ITIL v2/3; BICSI; ASHRAE, CDCP/S/E or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory.
