ROLERESPONSIBILITIES

The Engagement Leader is a key member of the Apex Advisory client servicing team and is responsible for leading, directing, and monitoring the planning and implementation of large-scale, complex projects, while building a collaborative environment with both internal and external stakeholders.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Build and maintain productive relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Become familiar with the client's business environment to lead projects effectively
• Ownership of and leadership for key client projects, ensuring delivery of high-quality deliverables and timely, efficient project operations
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, both inside and outside the organization
• Ensure the scope and schedule of projects are achievable within the given time and budget
• Take ownership for and provide direction and leadership on solving consulting issues associated with a project with the project management team, clients, and other interested parties
• Apply theoretical, managerial, and technical skills to fulfill identified objectives and deliverables
• Implement a solid project management strategy for task interdependence
• Manage project risks, contingency, and mitigation plans
• Maintain high team performance and productivity
• Be present in client offices as required to deal with issues in real-time
• Present key project updates to client stakeholders and agency partners
• Create and manage project plans and reports for various agency projects
• Conduct and coordinate project site visits as required
• Liaise directly with the client to update on project deliverables
• Lead client and stakeholder meetings on project specifics

• Oversee/review and approve the client's reports, including status updates, agendas, and meeting minutes/summaries
• Lead the client meeting from the Apex team and review, approve, and share the minutes with the client
• Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress
• Keep abreast of industry and daily news reports to stay on top of current affairs and client sector news
• Contribute to practice development initiatives and sector programs
• Provide technical knowledge, coaching, and development to junior team members

We are seeking an experienced Public Policy Expert to support the design, development, and implementation of evidence-based public policy initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in shaping strategic policy recommendations, evaluating impact, advising on regulatory frameworks, and driving advocacy efforts to support effective policy implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Policy Design and Development
• Lead the development of evidence-based public policy proposals, strategies, and recommendations.
• Conduct in-depth policy analysis using qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Synthesize complex information into actionable insights and structured deliverables.
• Evaluation and Monitoring
• Design and implement frameworks for ongoing evaluation, review, and monitoring of policy impact.
• Provide data-driven assessments of policy effectiveness and propose refinements.
• Develop KPIs and monitoring systems aligned with national and sectoral goals.
• Regulatory and Compliance Strategy
• Advise on regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements relevant to the policy area.
• Provide strategic guidance on aligning policy goals with legal and institutional structures.
• Identify regulatory gaps and propose practical, enforceable solutions.
• Research and Advocacy
• Conduct research to support evidence-informed advocacy efforts.
• Draft policy briefs, position papers, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
• Represent the organization in policy dialogues, working groups, and public forums.
• Policy Implementation Support
• Translate policy recommendations into actionable implementation plans.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and feasibility.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Law, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in public policy, governance, or regulatory affairs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and contribute to complex, multi-stakeholder policy projects.
• Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English (and Arabic if applicable).
