About the Role: The EM & Civil Engineer plans, design and lead the implementation of all civil construction projects for NERA in order to meet operational, safety and regulatory requirements within the set KPIs, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

Project Management

• Handover of Civil Engineering Projects: Participate in the final handover of civil engineering projects, including testing and commissioning, ensuring that the projects meet operational standards and design specifications.

Civil Engineering Operations

• Review and Approval of Contracted Projects: Review and approve the schedules, budgets, and manpower requirements of contracted projects, as well as contractors’ drawings and choice of materials or vendors.

Vendor Management

• Review and Approval of Contracted Projects: Review and approve the schedules, budgets, and manpower requirements of contracted projects, as well as contractors’ drawings and choice of materials or vendors.
• Development and Evaluation of RFPs: Develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs), participate in the evaluation and selection of proposals, systems, vendors, and contractors, including assessing post-installation training, and draft the technical sections of contracts.

Safety and Compliance

• Site Analysis for ANS Equipment Installation: Consulted, if required, by clients to analyze potential sites at airports to identify the most suitable locations for the installation of ANS equipment, considering topography, geology, weather conditions, and foundation strength.
• Health and Safety Training for Laborers: Ensure that all laborers are properly trained and equipped to conduct their work in line with international health and safety standards.

Training and Communication

• Technical Support and Guidance: Provide technical support, guidance, and advice to less experienced staff in the delivery of their work.
• Participation in Project Handover: Participate in the final handover of civil engineering projects, including testing and commissioning, ensuring they meet client’s operational standards and design specifications.

Policies, Processes and Procedures

• Compliance Monitoring: Support in monitoring day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures.
