Role Description
- Develop and lead PR strategies from formulation through to execution, aligning with the client’s key business objectives, and integrating (where required) with social media and digital activities.
- Lead on planning and activating client campaigns and ongoing scope of work.
- Identify opportunities and suggest creative campaigns that will position the client positively in the media and with consumers.
- Using strong command of written Arabic and English, lead on researching, and drafting and editing high-quality, ‘journalist standard’ editorial content (i.e. press releases and features) along with any other written copy required by the client such as Q&As, talking points etc.
- Ensure all communication is engaging, relevant, consistent, credible, timely and in the appropriate writing style.
- Proofread final materials – including those of your colleagues – for sufficient newsworthiness, as well as the basics of correct spelling, grammar, and sentence structure.
- Oversee the delivery of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to meet client deadlines, ensuring reports contain relevant analysis of client activity and recommendations.
- Establish and build high-level media contacts, securing coverage in a variety of media outlets that are important to clients.
- Ensure team media lists and client materials are kept up to date and saved on the Action Saudi server.
- Assist in managing crisis communications.
- Look for opportunities to grow the client’s scope of work and increase annual fees and revenue.
- Working knowledge and information gathering of the marketplace to help determine the best opportunities for clients.
- Oversee the development of a calendar of events or key occasions around which to proactively recommend commercial activities.
- Keep track of impending deadlines and ensure all work is completed on time.
- Liaise with the client and act as key point of contact in support of senior team. Lead client meetings.
- Support in internal brainstorming sessions and create workable programmes including proposal writing for new business and existing clients.
- Proactively gain an understanding and working knowledge of all core communications disciplines across Action Saudi, including social / digital media, design, and production, with a focus on core PR, to provide a quality assurance check of project deliverables, assisting with the implementation of best practices and solutions across function.
- Stay abreast of communications industry trends.
- Support senior team and liaise on basic quotations and invoicing between finance teams and clients.
- Actively pursue new business leads and prospects.
- BA/MA degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
- Excellent Arabic and English language proficiency - journalism experience preferable.
- Work experience in a similar role required (between 2-3 years).
- Experience in events, exhibitions and B2B trade show communications as well as agency experience will be considered an advantage.
- Proven track record of executing successful communication campaigns.
- Strong media relations in KSA
- Media relations in wider GCC and any international markets will be advantageous.
- Critical thinking organised and ability to handle client relations.

**Role Overview:**
The Regional Communications Manager will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of both external and internal communications within the EMEA region. This position focuses on enhancing the visibility and reputation of S&P Global Commodity Insights by building relationships with key media, securing high-profile coverage, and supporting stakeholders on internal communications to ensure consistent and strategic messaging. This role is highly collaborative, requiring teamwork with colleagues, leadership, and subject matter experts to deliver impactful communications that support divisional and corporate goals. You will also collaborate closely with the global communications team to support enterprise objectives.
**Impact:**
+ Assist in developing and executing external and internal communications strategies that position S&P Global Commodity Insights as a leader in the energy, data/benchmark, and sustainability sectors across the EMEA region.
+ Support media relations efforts by cultivating strong relationships with top-tier media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers to achieve impactful media placements.
+ Create and deliver key messaging and campaigns for internal communications, including thought leadership content, press materials, and internal communication plans.
+ Contribute to broader strategic planning and execution of communications, including crisis communications and rapid-response strategies, ensuring consistent messaging during challenging situations.
+ Track regional media coverage and internal metrics to measure the effectiveness of communications and ensure alignment with business goals.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and execute the communications strategy for S&P Global Commodity Insights within the EMEA region aligned with divisional and corporate objectives.
+ Collaborate with senior leaders and subject matter experts to craft compelling narratives and communicate key strategic initiatives and innovations.
+ Draft and distribute external content, including press releases, statements, media advisories, pitch materials, and bylined articles.
+ Create internal content, including executive messages for senior stakeholders, and manage internal events as required.
+ Ensure all communications align with S&P Global's corporate values, vision, and strategic goals.
+ Build and maintain relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, top-tier global media, industry analysts, and key journalists across the EMEA region.
+ Coordinate media interviews, press briefings, and events to promote divisional initiatives and corporate goals.
+ Monitor and report on communications results aligned with divisional and enterprise strategic goals.
+ Manage media relations during crises, ensuring effective responses and mitigating potential reputational risks.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
+ Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
+ Minimum 8 years of experience in external communications, media relations, or public relations, preferably in financial services, energy, data analytics, or technology.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages for diverse audiences.
+ Proven experience in building relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, media outlets, and industry influencers.
+ Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Collaborative approach to developing and executing communication strategies with senior leaders and colleagues.
+ Proven ability to support and implement internal communications and media relations strategies that drive visibility.
+ Experience in drafting and managing communications materials for both internal and external audiences.
+ Ability to handle time-sensitive issues and support media relations during crisis situations.
+ Familiarity with the financial and commodities markets, data services, or analytics sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities
Job Purpose & Responsibilities:
- Ongoing development of our Media relations strategy in line with our global communications strategy and associated tactical outreach planning alongside other Global Communications CoEs, regional alignment, other stakeholders, agencies and day to day input into strategic direction and planning.
- Provide specialist strategic communications counsel and relevant external positioning of the company and of the company's senior executive leadership, including CEO, through presentations face to face and written briefings to leverage opportunities to drive business growth and reputation.
- Monitor, Track, Analyze and report statistics of the use and effectiveness of our media presence and providing actionable insights and recommendations based on the analytics data.
- Drive the alignment between our Regions/Strategic Business Units/Corporates to ensure the cohesive and improved use of Traditional Media external channels across all regions.
- Lead focal point for strategic global company projects requiring specialist media, positioning & messaging related leadership and relevant input into all major company events.
- Collaborate with Corporate and Strategic Business Units business partners and regions, in planning proactive media outreach campaigns.
- Setting of global standards and guidelines whilst driving global governance and quality control.
- Drive use of relevant new channels and improvement in using existing channels whilst ensuring relevant use of messaging to create unified messaging output.
- Maintain and build our most important corporate strategic media relationships (tier 1), whilst exploring new relevant trends and practices.
- Provide specialist relevant communications advice and support for our Crisis Management and management of Reputational Risk.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in a Communications/Journalism/Mass Media related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in media-related position, from a leading PR firm or in the communications function of a reputed organization.
- Fluent Native English language skills - both oral and written.
