About the RoleThe Middle East Accountant supports the EMEA Controllers organization as well as the Finance teams across the region to ensure that the accounting operations are timely and accurately reported and that local statutory and IFRS requirements are adhered to, in addition to supporting enterprise-wide initiatives. Responsibilities And Impact- Analysis/interrogation of key balance sheet & P&L accounts, with preparation and posting of any associated journals.
- Support with month end processes, including the preparation & posting of journals, balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Preparation and posting of payroll journals.
- Preparation of financial statements for legal entities in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
- Liaising and interacting with external auditors pursuant to the timely completion of statutory audits carried out on legal entities.
- Ensuring timely submission of financial/non-financial information to local authorities in Middle East.
- Assistance with preparation of tax returns and associated accounting workflows, including processing of payment and balance sheet reconciliation of related accounts.
- Assistance with preparation of VAT returns and associated accounting workflows, including processing of payment and balance sheet reconciliation of related accounts.
- Support the wider Controllers team with merger, acquisition & disposal projects, legal entity restructuring projects and other ad hoc tasks impacting the region.
- To support on process improvement projects, identifying and implementing best practice processes across the region.
An individual with a high attention to detail, who is well organized. Someone with strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Basic Required Qualifications- Saudi National
- Fluency in English (professional/business level).
- 3-5 years' experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in Public Accounting, including a thorough understanding of IFRS and accounting standards generally accepted in the United States (US GAAP)
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Well organized and able to prioritize conflicting deadlines

**About the Role:**
The Middle East Accountant supports the EMEA Controllers organization as well as the Finance teams across the region to ensure that the accounting operations are timely and accurately reported and that local statutory and International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS") requirements are adhered to, in addition to supporting enterprise-wide initiatives.
**The Team**
The EMEA Enterprise Controller team is responsible for the month end close, management & statutory reporting and internal controls across the region. The team values collaboration across various corporate functions, in delivering to our internal & external stakeholders, and a strong team ethic. The role reports to the Middle East Controller.
**Responsibilities and Impact**
This position supports the EMEA Controllers team locally to ensure internal and external reporting is timely reported and in compliance with IFRS or other local statutory requirements. This position supports the Middle East Controller in partnering locally with business and operations to ensure that governance and internal controls are adhered to, driving operational excellence.
+ Analysis/interrogation of key balance sheet & P&L accounts, with preparation and posting of any associated journals.
+ Support with month end processes, including the preparation & posting of journals, balance sheet reconciliations.
+ Preparation of monthly management accounts.
+ Preparation and posting of payroll journals.
+ Preparation of financial statements for legal entities in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
+ Liaising and interacting with external auditors pursuant to the timely completion of statutory audits carried out on legal entities.
+ Ensuring timely submission of financial/non-financial information to local authorities in Middle East.
+ Assistance with preparation of tax returns and associated accounting workflows, including processing of payment and balance sheet reconciliation of related accounts.
+ Assistance with preparation of VAT returns and associated accounting workflows, including processing of payment and balance sheet reconciliation of related accounts.
+ Support the wider Controllers team with merger, acquisition & disposal projects, legal entity restructuring projects and other ad hoc tasks impacting the region.
+ To support on process improvement projects, identifying and implementing best practice processes across the region.
**What We're Looking For:**
An individual with a high attention to detail, who is well organized. Someone with strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. You will have a strong desire to exceed expectations and are a real team player with an innate desire to contribute to change. You consider yourself systems savvy and have preferably worked with Oracle, Alteryx, Tableau and understand the FinTech industry (or wish to).
**Basic Required Qualifications:**

+ Fluency in English (professional/business level).
+ 3-5 years' experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in Public Accounting, including a thorough understanding of IFRS and accounting standards generally accepted in the United States (US GAAP)
