Job Description

- Ensure efficient workshop use of materials, equipment, and labor so service and repairs are carried out to the highest quality standards.

- Monitor progress of jobs in the workshop and advise service reception of any delays or issues.

- Ensure jobs are allocated to technicians and mechanics to maximize manpower utilization.

- Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer, and industry guidelines.

- Assure the repair is carried out according to MAN standards.

- Achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction and retain existing customers through the workshop.

- Maintain a clean, well-decorated, and tidy workshop to uphold high standards of presentation.

- Receive and assist all customers courteously and promptly, aligning with the dealership's quality program.

- Work closely with the service department to achieve high customer satisfaction levels.

- Enhance facilities, improve technical skills, and uphold high standards of workmanship.

- Establish training and development needs of workshop personnel with the Service Manager/Operations.

- Possess a Mechanical Engineering Degree.

- Have a minimum of 3 years in the same role or 5 years in the industry.

JOB PURPOSE

Ensure optimum utilization of workshop resources by maximizing in-house maintenance activities for the fleet, reducing the turnover rate for vehicle repairs by maintaining effective performance maintenance control checks and employing all measures possible via repair activities to sustain a safe fleet of vehicles at lowest maintenance costs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the workshop activities to ensure that all possible repairs are performed effectively and efficiently in-house with minimum reliance on external parties.
  • Manage the negotiation with the relevant vendors for the most economic and best quality prices for spares and accessories after analysis of other situational factors viz. site of breakdown, proximity from workshop, quick availability of spares, credit facility etc.
  • Ensure timely supply of the relevant spares for the various brands of vehicles such as Scania, Reynolds, Mitsubishi etc. and reduce the turnaround times for repair activities as much as possible to provide for most optimum utilization of the vehicle resources.
  • Research on existing practices w.r.t. maintenance / repair activities and improvise on the same to ensure more profitable servicing operations.
  • Maintain various MIS reports e.g. overtime reports, performance maintenance reports etc. to provide clarity on the workshop activities in terms of workload, manpower utilization etc.
  • Lead, motivate, develop and retain an efficient servicing / workshop team by proper feedback and training to manage thorough servicing and maintenance checks to ensure strict safety adherence.
  • Products / Operations handled: Heavy Trucks viz. Mercedes, Scania, Mitsubishi, Renault, Volvo etc., Forklift Operators, Tankers, Trailers.
  • The job holder must have expert hands on knowledge in the engineering as well as mechanical aspect of heavy vehicles viz. tankers, heavy trucks as well as forklift operators for hands on application as well as clear guidance to workshop staff during complex repair issues.
  • The job demands good judgment skills coupled with fast decision making to be applied when faced with vehicle breakdown amidst long distance transportation, keeping in mind the inflammable nature of the products transported as well as the contractual clauses applicable.
  • Innovative thinking is a competency which when effectively applied on this job contributes to maximizing returns through effective application of in-house resources and minimum dependence on external servicing units.

Pre-Operations:

  • Define vendor scopes of work, service requirements, and selection criteria based on departmental needs.

  • Participate in vendor selection processes, including RFP development, evaluation, and contract negotiation.

  • Oversee vendor onboarding, ensuring alignment with operational procedures, safety protocols, and visitor experience standards.

Post-Operations:

  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance through daily checks, manpower planning, and readiness assessments.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews with vendors to address issues and identify areas for improvement.

  • Manage contract compliance, change orders, and renewals in collaboration with legal and procurement teams.

Quality Assurance & Service Enhancement:

  • Ensure vendor services consistently contribute to a seamless and high-quality visitor experience, including efficient information services, safety, and amenities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate vendor services into daily operations and special events.

  • Implement quality assurance processes to maintain and improve service standards.

Financial & Compliance Oversight:

  • Monitor vendor invoicing and expenditures to ensure accuracy and timely payments.

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and value optimization.

  • Ensure all vendor activities comply with local regulations, organizational policies, and industry best practices.

Technology & Innovation:

  • Identify and recommend new technologies to enhance visitor operations, such as CRM-integrated call center solutions, visitor flow management tools, and data analytics platforms.

  • Act as the departmental liaison with IT and Digital teams for outsourced technology services impacting visitor operations.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Procurement, or a related field.

  • Vendor Management: 10+ years of experience managing third-party service providers or vendor contracts, including developing SLAs, KPIs, and contract monitoring.

  • Operational Expertise: Experience in operational environments such as events, parks, attractions, or public venues, with a proven ability in workforce planning and staff scheduling.

  • Logistics & Reporting: Strong understanding of operational logistics and supply chain coordination, with experience in preparing performance reports (daily, monthly, and annual).

  • Communication & Problem-Solving: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English, with the ability to quickly resolve operational and vendor-related challenges.

  • Contractual Knowledge: Basic understanding of legal principles related to contracts and procurement, with experience in developing Scopes of Work and managing procurement processes.

**Job Description:**
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional visitor experiences and managing high-performing vendor relationships? We are seeking a **Senior Manager - Visitor Operations Management** to lead and oversee all aspects of visitor services and operations for a large-scale park facility. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact between the Visitor Operations & Services Department and third-party vendors, ensuring seamless service delivery that aligns with the organization's vision of providing a world-class visitor experience.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
