Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor is performing semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks associated with the installation and repair of plant equipment, pump station and related equipment repairs, and performs preventive maintenance tasks. Duties may be corrective emergency repairs of the plant mechanical/electrical equipment when required. Must be able to diagnose failed mechanical and electrical equipment components in a safe manner. Maintain and repair pumps, collectors, screening and grit removal equipment, values, hydraulic equipment, and all other equipment to include welding, fabrication or modification.
Minimum Qualifications : Must have experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License and be able to perform other related duties as required. This position requires manual dexterity, lifting and performs manual labor when required and have the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must also be able to follow verbal and written instruction while communicating with other maintenance personnel and plant operation staff.
Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and pass a background check/drug screening.
This position has a starting salary of $27.00, with the possibility of increased compensation if prepared to acquire an Ohio EPA Wastewater Plant Operator Certification.
