Job Description
The Storekeeper is responsible for all store/warehouse operations activities including shipping and receiving, deliveries, coordinating stock, documenting warehouse transactions, maintaining records, and overseeing storage of inventory for the company.
**TASKS**
- Supervise material orders and dispatching to ensure rational use
- Receive orders and deliveries.
- Control warehouse facilities, ensure that all items are well organized and correctly stored.
- Follows up stock levels, stock out, dispatch dates, expiry dates, etc.
- Monitors the store temperature and ensure cold chain items are stored in an adequate temperature.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom
- Receive, unload, and shelve supplies
- Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies
- Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies; report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping
- Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses
- Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control
- Coordinate the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and necessary minor repairs
- Receiving, storing, issuing the goods, managing the stock levels and issuance of supplies from the stock.
- Involved in preparing the inventories, maintaining the stock records, using computerized systems for entering the records and is accountable for checking the supply invoices with the purchase orders.
- Responsible for preparing the reports on adjustments done to inventories that may be damaged, etc., and coordinates the purchasing, inventory and warehousing functions.
- Rotates stocks and makes provision to dispose the surplus or obsolete stock in line with the policy and process.
- Responsible for keeping a close eye on the movement of stock from in and out of the store and managing the min/max supplies to ensure smooth operations.
- Involved in preparing the weekly reports of all the activities in the stores like the consignment received, the quantity of items received, point of collection and dispatch, stacking number, outstanding balance, etc.
- Oversees the cycle counting programs for the distribution at the stores.
- Develops, maintains, and adopts the best operational procedures and practices for inventory control.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, OTHER CHARACTERISTICS**
**Knowledge of**: Knowledge of storekeeping and inventory control procedures, modern warehousing procedures, including methods of proper and orderly storage and issuance of materials; basic stock inventory procedures; requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, bills of lading, freight tags, and the use and meaning of each; computerized warehouse record keeping systems, care and maintenance of equipment and supplies; safety and security practices.
**Language skills**: Proficiency in English both written and verbal, ability to converse in Arabic would be an added advantage.
**Computer Skills**: Microsoft Office, Presentation Tools, standard accounting software and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g., bar code scanners).
**Ability to**: manage Interpersonal Communication, manage time effectively, understand service and price factors, handle dispute and grievances, pay attention to detail, effectively use organizational and planning, meet assigned deadlines, deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service, able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
**Education**:bachelor’s degree in commerce, Supply chain certification or any related field.
**Experience**:Minimum 02 years working experience in warehouse and storage operations.
**Personal Requirement**: Dependability, productivity, customer Service, professionalism, attention to detail, customer focus, general math skills, good communication and time management skills. Participates actively in organization-wide activities without hesitance or personal reservation. Can adapt to unusual job-related circumstances. Works effectively under stressful condition.
**Job Requirement**: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and adopt to changes in a positive manner. Able to handle stress and willing to work extended hours. Willing to relocate in other subsidiaries in order to fill in gap, if required. Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, lifting, bending, standingclimbing or walking on a consistent basis.
