In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Marketing activities, to ensure and deliver on the Department's mandate and identify improvement opportunities that will contribute to the delivery of short and mid-term strategic objectives within set KPIs, agreed budgets, and adopted policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the design and implementation of the Sector's strategy and roadmap by providing function-specific inputs
- Establishing and implementing the Department's operational plans in support of the Sector's overall strategic plan and KPIs
- Preparing the Consumer Marketing Department's annual budget and participating in the Division's budgeting cycle and process
- Utilizing and managing the Consumer Marketing Department's budget effectively, and reporting accurately on progress made and challenges encountered
- Investigating and proposing implementing strategies that result in positive financial impact for STA and mitigate financial and operational risks
- Implementing the yearly holistic consumer marketing plan, articulating the key seasonal focuses and priorities, as a balancing act between Brand inspiration and commercial needs in alignment with Marketing CoE guidelines and strategies
- Developing a stakeholder communication plan that prioritizes loyalty, conversions, and delivery
- Driving the achievement of customer activation and brand KPIs such as share of voice, loyalty, market penetration, net sales, traffic, and conversion against pre-approved KPIs
- Ensuring effective investments in content production and other costs and driving a customer and business data-driven approach to assign investments to cross-functional initiatives
- Developing solutions with the relevant business partners on all aspects of STA consumer marketing executions and strategic objectives
- Developing brand activation plans that clearly state brief requirements, ROI calculation, and reporting
- Proposing improvements to the Consumer Marketing Department's policies, and ensuring the implementation of procedures and controls across all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high-quality and cost-effective results
- Monitoring day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures
- Stimulating subordinates and contributing to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes taking into account leading practices, changes in the business environment, cost reduction, and productivity improvement
- Managing, guiding, and assisting direct reports to perform their functional operations in accordance with set policies and procedures
- Participating in identifying and recruiting key talent for the Consumer Marketing Department
- Promoting a high-performance working environment embracing STA's values
- Building and maintaining solid relations with external stakeholders such as governmental entities and consultants to serve STA's best interest
- Assisting the organization and supporting peers when needed to perform their duties
- Approving reports and presentations related to Consumer Marketing Department activities and achievements for reporting and decision-making
- Performing other activities as and when required
You will need:
- A bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent is preferred
- A master's degree in marketing or equivalent is preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in marketing or another relevant field
