Contribute to initiate, plan, and execute projects that enable renewable energy technologies and applications for deployment and commercialization in the Kingdom either by advancement through higher levels of TRL or by testing, modification, or adaptation of standards for mature technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Review the plans and programs that have been put for the development of renewable energy programs and technologies in order to make recommendations in a way that contributes to meeting the needs of Saudi Arabia in these sectors.
- Review the main developments in the renewable energy field to assess the technologies developed in this area, suggest scientific methods and implement the most suitable ones.
- Identify and benchmark world-class renewable energy technologies and programs, assessing their feasibility for localization and integration into Saudi Arabia's energy ecosystem.
- Provide the needed technical support to analyze reports issued by the Studies and Research Sector on the renewable energy sector.
- Provide recommendations on utilizing programs and technologies in a way that allows benefitting from them in the renewable energy sector.
- Study the challenges that may raise during implementing the development plans of the renewable energy sector programs and technologies and recommend practices to overcome those challenges.
- Lead in-depth studies on energy demand forecasting and sustainability-driven solutions to enhance Saudi Arabia's energy security and transition toward a diversified energy mix.
- Provide the needed support to develop and implement renewable energy agreements and projects by thoroughly studying the technologies used in implementing those projects and agreements.
- Carry out any other related tasks or responsibilities as requested by the direct supervisor.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in a related field.
