Responsibilities:
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of food production machinery, systems, and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues quickly and effectively—downtime is your enemy, and you don’t let it win
- Respond to urgent maintenance calls and production interruptions with confidence and urgency
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals like a boss
- Use tools of the trade to get things done right the first time
- Document maintenance work, part usage, and system updates to keep things organized and audit-ready
- Collaborate with production staff and leadership to ensure minimal disruption and maximum performance
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workspace—you know that a tidy shop is a productive shop
Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For
- A solid mechanical background, ideally with 2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and other food production equipment
- Comfortable with tools, ladders, lifts, and getting your hands dirty
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts when needed
- Safety-first mindset with knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices
- Bonus points if you’ve worked in a food processing environment or have a maintenance certification, but attitude and skills matter most

This individual will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance required to maintain our industrial equipment and facility at an optimal level of operation with an emphasis on mechanical power transmission, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics. Maintenance experience with industrial controls, 480-volt 3 phase electrical feeders, machining, robotics, and CNC is a plus. Specific Duties:
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and support the Reliability Engineer. The Industrial Maintenance Technician’s main responsibility is preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance. The position will be responsible for:
- Ensure that safety standards are maintained while performing duties
- Perform corrective maintenance on equipment
- Carry out routine check on production equipment
- Carryout regular preventive maintenance on equipment following standards and allotted time for completion
- Carryout regular preventive maintenance on facilities to mitigate major damage
- Diagnose and repair or replace worn parts in machine and equipment
- The preventive activities of a technician in this role may include maintaining correct fluid levels on machines
- Carry out replacement of filters and changing of oil and grease. Complete assigned Lubrication Routes on equipment.
- Ensure that the facility areas and work environment are free of hazardous objects and substances
- May be required to assist external technicians/sub-contractors during external PM’s
- Work with Planner to keep proper record of work activities, including updating PM standard work procedures, PM part list and tools
- Submit reports on work activities and progress of work to the supervisor
- Work independently or as part of a group to PM, troubleshoot and repair existing equipment and facility systems.
- Identify root cause of equipment failures and suggest preventive actions.
- Follow written instructions to perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
- Work with engineering to upgrade existing equipment for enhanced safety, functionality, and/or reliability.
- Identify and order machine components and materials required to complete any given job.
- Accurately estimate time required to complete any given job.
- Interface with our computerized maintenance management system to retrieve work orders and preventive maintenance activities, issues parts, and record closing information.
- Work flexible hours, be willing to stay over to complete critical tasks, and work weekend hours when needed.
- Must be willing and able to travel occasionally as required (not typically a part of job function, for training purposes, <5%)
Work Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong working knowledge of mechanical power transmission, hydraulics and pneumatics, welding and fabricating, pipe fitting, and constriction trades
