Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible to the Quality Manager for all aspects of the AAC Special Tooling Program D950-11059-1.
  2. Create acceptance criteria used by operator and quality assurance.
  3. Develop and use scale factors to compensate measurements for coefficient of thermal expansion and verify accuracy.
  4. Utilize the LASER tracker system to establish, transform, and manipulate coordinate systems.
  5. Estimate production cost and effect for management review, action, and control.
  6. Formulate procedures and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, analyzing, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  7. Establish data collection parameters and requirements.
  8. Support logistics efforts by assisting in scheduling deliveries based on production forecasts, material substitutions, shortages, and facilities storage areas of material.
  9. Establish special targeting and target adapter requirements.
  10. Handle equipment, setup multi-stations, perform checks, and calibrations.
  11. Conduct data analysis, formatting, storage, and reporting.
  12. Provide guidance to management on technical, systems, facilities, or process-related topics.
  13. Develop and maintain daily use processes and procedures for all ST's.
  14. Knowledgeable of occupational hazards and safety precautions, and coach others in complying with program policies and procedures.
  15. Follow all safety policies and procedures, ensuring process specs, drawings, and other technical documentation are current and updated.
  16. Report any and all potential safety hazards, incidents, accidents, and other program concerns to management.
  17. Study task operations, task sequence, material flow, organization charts, and project information to determine the most efficient worker functions and responsibilities.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Process Simulation and Modeling Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence team under the Downstream Reliability Solutions Department (RSD). Reliability Solutions Department (RSD) provides engineering support to Saudi Aramco Global Manufacturing wholly owned and affiliates’ facilities (Refining, NGL Processing, and Petrochemicals). This includes reliability, inspection, corrosion management, static equipment, rotating equipment, electrical equipment, instrumentation and control support.

Your primary role as a Process Simulation & modeling expert is to provide expert guidance and support to de-bottleneck process operations and optimize through process simulation technologies. You will lead improvement initiatives for all operating departments within the Global Manufacturing Portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Streamline Process Simulation & Optimization objectives in alignment with corporate objectives and develop programs, processes, and best practices.
  • Monitor relevant KPIs to improve Process Simulation and modeling performance.
  • Perform process simulations and modeling using specialized software tools to analyze plants’ processes and optimize their performance.
  • Develop and maintain thermodynamic models and mathematical equations that accurately represent the behavior of various processes.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and propose modifications or optimizations to increase efficiency, reduce costs, or meet regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct performance improvement feasibility studies to increase yields, and operational efficiency of the company.
  • Analyze chronic problems and debottleneck complex models to improve process operations and economic benefits.
  • Conduct safety assessments to evaluate the impact of potential process changes or plant modifications.
  • Lead technical sessions such as the design review, model review, and commissioning.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to operating facilities Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams by consulting, providing awareness sessions, and participating and leading technical exchanges and conferences.
  • Review standards and General Instructions on behalf of the Global Manufacturing Excellence departments and act as leading SME.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather data and inputs required for the simulations and modeling activities.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate simulation results, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and researchers and vendors to contribute to the development of new simulation software tools, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards, best practices, and technological advancements in process simulation and modeling.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 15 years of experience in Process Simulation and Modeling technologies is required. Twenty years of experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrate expertise in process engineering and flowsheet-based processes simulation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of refinery facilities, feedstock/product movements, margins, giveaways, process yields, and mass and energy balances.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with international standards and specifications for advanced process control process modeling.
  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of advanced process solutions.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to effectively manage technical discussions and guide technical teams.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Process Simulation and Modeling Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence team under the Downstream Reliability Solutions Department (RSD)

Reliability Solutions Department (RSD) provides engineering support to Saudi Aramco Global Manufacturing wholly owned and affiliates’ facilities (Refining, NGL Processing, and Petrochemicals). This includes reliability, inspection, corrosion management, static equipment, rotating equipment, electrical equipment, instrumentation and control support.

Your primary role as a Process Simulation & modeling expert is to provide expert guidance and support to de-bottleneck process operations and optimize through process simulation technologies. You will lead improvement initiatives for all operating departments within the Global Manufacturing Portfolio.

Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Streamline Process Simulation & Optimization objectives in alignment with corporate objectives and develop programs, processes, and best practices.
  • Monitor relevant KPIs to improve Process Simulation and modeling performance.
  • Perform process simulations and modeling using specialized software tools to analyze plants’ processes and optimize their performance.
  • Develop and maintain thermodynamic models and mathematical equations that accurately represent the behavior of various processes.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and propose modifications or optimizations to increase efficiency, reduce costs, or meet regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct performance improvement feasibility studies to increase yields, and operational efficiency of the company.
  • Analyze chronicle problems and debottleneck complex models to improve process operations and economic benefits.
  • Conduct safety assessments to evaluate the impact of potential process changes or plant modifications.
  • Lead technical sessions such as the design review, model review, and commissioning.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to operating facilities Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams by consulting, providing awareness sessions, and participating and leading technical exchanges and conferences.
  • Review standards and General Instructions on behalf of the Global Manufacturing Excellence departments and act as leading SME.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather data and inputs required for the simulations and modeling activities.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate simulation results, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and researchers and vendors to contribute to the development of new simulation software tools, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards, best practices, and technological advancements in process simulation and modeling.

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you will hold a:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 15 years of experience in Process Simulation and Modeling technologies is required. Twenty years of experience is preferred.
  • Refinery process engineering background is preferred with a minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • Experienced with Process Simulation applications and specialized in APO or ROmeo software.
  • Demonstrate expertise in process engineering and flowsheet-based processes simulation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of refinery facilities, feedstock/product movements, margins, giveaways, process yields, and mass and energy balances.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with international standards and specifications for advanced process control process modeling.
  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of advanced process solutions.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to effectively manage technical discussions and guide technical teams.

Your role as part of the Ubuntu Foundations team will have an impact on every aspect of Ubuntu from Desktop, Server, Ubuntu Core and also cloud images.

Location: This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region

The role entails

  • Collaborate proactively with a distributed team
  • Select, integrate and package best-of-breed tooling with Ubuntu to improve developer and operator experience with Python
  • Write high-quality code to create new features
  • Debug issues and produce high-quality code to fix them
  • Review code produced by other engineers
  • Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding good solutions
  • Work from home with global travel 2 to 4 weeks a year for internal and external events

Who you are

  • You have relevant Python experience, ideally in the world of cloud-native software and Linux
  • You have experience or are interested in learning how to package software for Debian and Ubuntu
  • You are a long-time Linux user
  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path
  • You love technology and working with brilliant people
  • You are passionate, curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable
  • You value soft skills and are passionate, enterprising, thoughtful, and self-motivated
  • Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long
