JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.

To undertake scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities of Test & Measuring Equipment in support of Typhoon operations and in accordance with the RSAF Typhoon maintenance policy, ensuring that all Continuing Airworthiness and Maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with BAE Systems Saudi Arabia SALAM Maintenance Organisation Exposition and associated Quality Management System.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Undertake review of maintenance and challenge current practices and identify potential capacity for improvements within the organisation.

Recognising any malpractice that could affect the airworthiness or safety of the assigned components or personnel within their area of responsibility and raising the issue/concern to the Senior Maintenance Manager.

Ensuring that the necessary manpower and facilities resource are available, in accordance with company policies to enable their organisations to perform their duties and any contractual obligations.

Monitor standards of the personnel within their organisation to identify any negative trends, non-conformities or motivational deficiencies.

Accountable and responsible for all person’s development reports within their direct and indirect line management, within their Area of Responsibility.

Providing a working environment of trust, where all employees of whom are professionals, each have a clear understanding of what standard of behaviour is considered acceptable or unacceptable, following the companies “Code of Conduct”.

Provide training, consolidation and counterpart development activities to the personnel in line with business requirements.

Ensure all tasks are completed within designated timeframes to support Forward Maintenance and SMU activities.

Manage operational readiness of shop equipment and schedule necessary calibrations. Enhanced by ensuring the correct tooling, approved data is available. Raise appropriate media for deficiencies in approved data (e.g. TPRFs, TQs, etc.).

Any damage or deficiencies to equipment and infrastructure, are reported and monitored using the correct media (e.g. IDR, MDR, CAR, SORT, 1400-61, etc.).

Ensure that all personnel undertaking maintenance in their area of responsibility are authorised.

Maintain an anti-FOD surveillance and report potential hazards, which is further enhanced by the regular oversight checks of the shop and the components in the shop.

Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out and meet the highest quality standards, including recording of maintenance carried out on the airworthiness tool (ESS) and Maintenance Tool (IMS) to accurately reflect the work carried out, test results indications/ values.

Conduct oversight checks to ensure high standards.

Manage the TTP131 spreadsheet to reflect any forecasted planning, highlight any deficiencies or delivery/ FDD issues with consumables & PPE at the earliest opportunity.

Submission, collection and management of; Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) to the Secondary Calibration Squadron using the correct media (RSAF form 350). Monitoring and escalation of contracted turn round times (14 days).

Manage all Correspondence to TMDE including but not limited to; calibration requests, Customer Working Parties (CWP) assistance, ensuring all key stakeholders are informed through correct communications.

Technically evaluating imposed “Limitations” on Typhoon TMDE and ensuring those limitations are acceptable for user squadrons, paying particular attention to performance specification degradation and the technical impact these may cause. Ensuring those limitations are communicated to the end user.

Liaising with Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) controller for Aerospace Ground Equipment Requiring Data (AGERDs).

Ensure effective communication and coordination with maintenance teams, engineering departments, and management.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.

Have extensive post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR continuous experience on same aircraft type.

Have experience in a relevant management role.

Must have experience working knowledge of EASA Part 145

Leadership skills and proven ability to supervise all levels of engineering personnel.

Holds 2nd signature.

Thorough understanding of company processes and procedures.

Broad aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.

Proven supervisory experience within the area of definition.

An understanding of RAF and /or RSAF engineering operating procedures.

A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality.

Previous experience of delivering workplace training.

An understanding of ESS/IMS or similar electronic based reporting system.

Previous experience controlling and monitoring TME.

  3. تحليل بيانات الجودة وتقديم تقارير دورية للإدارة.
  4. تدريب الموظفين على ممارسات الجودة وأهمية الالتزام بها.
  5. التعاون مع فرق الإنتاج لتحديد وتحليل المشكلات وتحسين العمليات.
  6. تطوير وثائق الجودة مثل إجراءات التشغيل القياسية (SOPs).
  7. التأكد من أن جميع المواد الخام المستخدمة تلبي معايير الجودة.
  8. إجراء مراجعات داخلية لضمان الالتزام بالمعايير المعمول بها.
  9. التواصل مع الموردين لضمان جودة المواد الخام المستخدمة في الإنتاج.
  10. تقديم المشورة للإدارة بشأن تحسينات الجودة المحتملة.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and relevant standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate operational processes to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Provide training and awareness sessions on quality policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Support the development of compliance-related policies and procedures.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor operational risks using a structured risk management framework (e.g., ISO 31000).
  • Maintain and update the risk register, ensuring risk mitigation actions are implemented and monitored.
  • Support risk assessment workshops and report risk exposure to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, and test the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) in line with ISO 22301 or relevant BCM frameworks.
  • Organize periodic BCP drills and simulation exercises to ensure readiness.
  • Manage all related projects and prepare periodic reports and dashboards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in quality, compliance, risk management, or BCM (telecom/technology sector preferred).
  • Preferably certified in ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ISO 31000, ISO 22301, PMP, or Six Sigma.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory).
