- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, design custom collaboration solutions, and create detailed implementation plans.
- Manage, Configure, and troubleshoot all unified VOIP communication systems and Collaboration, including IP telephony, Voice mail, IM Messaging, Video Conferencing, and Contact Center.
- Integrate collaboration platforms with existing infrastructure
- Coordinate with the vendor according to the Service Contacts agreements.
- Manage and configure collaboration endpoints and systems
- identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems related to Collaboration systems
- Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Video Conference systems and Endpoints
- Troubleshoot highly complex data, voice, or video networks and hardware problems, and escalate to the Vendor if needed.
- Perform testing and validation of the deployed solutions, ensuring optimal performance. Troubleshoot issues related to voice, video, and messaging services.
- Designs, builds, configures, installs, monitors, and supports all VOIP and collaboration systems.
- Ability to engage in creating backup strategies for the data and recovery plan, and Collaboration solutions.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for the implemented solutions, including system configurations, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Report and log the incidents and service activation.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in implementing and supporting Cisco Collaboration solutions.
- Proven experience with CUCM, UCCX/UCCE, Unity Connection, Webex, Expressway, CMS, and voice/video gateways.
- Perform implementation, configuration, and support of Cisco Collaboration solutions, including CUCM (Cisco Unified Communications Manager), CUC, UCCX/UCCE, Cisco Meeting Server (CMS), Webex, TelePresence, and Voice Gateways.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex voice, video, and contact Center issues.
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of collaboration systems.
- Provide proactive guidance and recommendations to optimize the customer's collaboration environment.
- Perform system health checks, patching, and upgrades to ensure stability and reliability.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.

Role Summary
The Network & Collaboration Engineer
will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting network and communication systems for SamaWave and its clients. This includes

Key Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure & Security
- Design, deploy, and maintain
LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN
infrastructure across multiple sites. - Configure and manage
routers, switches, access points, and firewalls
(Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, etc.). - Implement and maintain
network security policies, ACLs, and encryption standards
. - Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Perform regular
backup, redundancy, and disaster recovery planning
.
Collaboration & Unified Communication
- Design, deploy, manage, and troubleshoot
VoIP and IP telephony systems
(Cisco Call Manager, and similar). - Integrate collaboration systems with
Active Directory and identity management platforms
. - Maintain service uptime and performance for unified communication platforms.
Systems Integration & Support
- Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless
system and application integration
. - Participate in
IT infrastructure projects
, from planning to post-deployment support. - Provide
Level 2/3 technical support
for network and communication-related incidents. - Analyze system logs, network data, and performance metrics to proactively prevent issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation including
network diagrams, configurations, and inventories

Project Management & Client Engagement
- Assist in developing
technical proposals and network design documents
for clients. - Lead or support client implementation projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Conduct
site surveys
, feasibility assessments, and capacity planning. - Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams throughout project lifecycle.
- Provide
training and technical handover sessions
to clients and end-users. - Stay updated with emerging technologies in networking, collaboration, and cloud integration.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in
Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or Information Technology
. - Minimum
3–5 years
of hands-on experience in network implementation, deployment , management, and collaboration systems. - Practical knowledge of
Cisco Collaboration systems, Fortinet , Meraki, - Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, QoS, and VPN technologies
. - Experience with
Cisco, Fortinet, Sophos, PaloAlto, etc
. - Certifications such as
CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, CCNA voice
are a plus. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills in both
Arabic and English
. - Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Plus skills:
- Conduct
vulnerability assessments
and ensure compliance with security best practices. - Support
cloud networking integrations
for Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments. - Configure and support
Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, and Office 365 collaboration tools
