- **Be able to contribute towards supporting high quality education for all students in their care and improving the quality of learning and standards of achievements, under the instruction/guidance of teaching staff.**

- Certificate of Education - PGCE or B.Ed.

Summary
The Teaching Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting classroom teachers with the implementation of the curriculum.

Job Duties
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
- Assist teachers in the delivery of lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly-defined and documented curriculum for students
- Maintain a safe learning environment for students at all times
- Respond appropriately to the range of individual needs and abilities within the class
- Supervise students during lunch and other break times
- Assist with transitions during and between classes
- Organize classrooms, work centers, and activity areas
- Maintain instructional supplies, materials and equipment
- Demonstrate creativity
- From time to time may be asked to assist with daily hygiene routines
