Leap29 are working on behalf of a leading audit firm based in Jeddah, KSA who is looking for a Senior Tax Consultant due to current increasing demand. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing firm and help expand a team across several offices in Saudi Arabia.
The new Senior Tax Consultant will be required to advise on the tax implications of commercial transactions with a view to minimizing tax cost. You will also be responsible for maintaining a high level of client service, including the provision of timely advice regarding miscellaneous consultancy queries across all tax heads. As part of the advisory team you will ensure clients meet all corporate self-assessment requirements, in relation to the payment of tax and the timely filing of tax returns.

Our BTA tax service line operates as a team of highly experienced tax professionals who focus on delivering efficient and effective resources to companies in the region. You will work with organizations and individuals to structure transactions and operations in a tax-effective manner. This includes helping clients to mitigate tax risk and comply effectively with tax laws.
You will help businesses meet complex demands for tax reporting, compliance, planning, strategy and controversy. By integrating technical and industry knowledge with established methodologies, you will work with a wide range of businesses and corporations to help them develop and implement effective, practical and sustainable tax strategies.
You will assist in looking after service delivery, coordination, issue resolution, and contract management of projects where you will be expected to draft tax advisory memos and reports to address client concerns.

You will be responsible for the preparation of tax research memos and tax advisory reports and assist with local state tax return preparation and attend meetings with the local Tax Authority on client related tax matters. Overview:
The Tax Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with all tax obligations, including direct and indirect taxes. You will contribute to building and maintaining client relationships by delivering exceptional client service and collaborate with a team of International Tax professionals across the MENA region and globally to combine diverse cross-border experience with local tax knowledge across a broad spectrum of industries.
You will work as part of a multi-jurisdictional / disciplinary team within tax and across other service lines (including working with colleagues from Transfer Pricing, Transaction Tax, Indirect Tax, People Advisory Services etc.) in terms of pursuing, and delivering engagements and assist in managing engagement economics by suggesting engagement budget, tracking fees and communicating issues to project managers.
You will be building internal relationships within international tax team and across other service lines and coaching more junior staff through delegation and on the job training whilst taking ownership of continuous technical knowledge development through on the job learning and self-development.

**To qualify for the role you must have**
- Bachelor's Degree in Tax, Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant Tax experience, in either business or industry
- Prior exposure to international taxation with focus on inbound and outbound investments
- Strong organisational, project delivery, analytical and verbal/written communication skills
- Proven track record with a leading professional services firm
- Experience of delivering on international tax projects and on the job coaching of more junior team members
**Ideally, you’ll also have**
- An approved professional qualification or equivalent (e.g. ADIT / ATT / ACCA / CPA / ACA / CA / LLB or MBA, or MA, MSc or PhD in Tax, Economics, Accounting or Finance)
- Proficiency in Arabic language
